I talked to someone from Great Lakes who attended the Formosa meet and great today, but he didn't have the transcript just a video of his part. If someone has the full transcript can you please post? These were the notes from his video I thought were worth mentioning:
1) Bracelets and Rings will not spawn above 8 mods. PERIOD. This is 100% confirmed by Mesanna, Kyronix and Bleak in response to GL player showing them a 14 mod ring and the Devs stating that they don't want that type of stuff in the game.
My take: I completely agree; this stuff should have never spawned, it's game breaking heavy. It will make it so they can't roll out new artifact revamps, or new content - nothing could ever be as heavy as some of the gear we have floating around now.
2) When Mesanna mentioned the 10-14 mods in the Newsletter "still spawning" she was counting resists. Question was posed by a Formosa player as well as GL player, and confirmed to both parties.
My take: This was a very poor choice of wording initially in the newsletter when 90% of the players do not consider resists to be mods since all legendaries have a propensity to spawn with heavy resists regardless of the Prefix+Suffix, but in her defense she did clarify it today after some prodding.
3) They have no plans to mess with idocs currently.
My take: If you want to lay out clear ideas for them, it's never a bad idea, but they have their workload set for the remainder of the year - it's a small team, and of that small team I think only a couple of them actually know how the internal systems work. So hang in there on this, we will put together constructive ideas, and can bring it up to Kyronix and Bleak when the time come.
4) Contentious exchange where a true rare cloak, the 1 of 1 Cloak of Shadows, the GL player owned was dyed default by a GM, subsequently deleted by Mesanna. The GL player told Mesanna that this was the original ethereal cloak, and Mesanna kept reiterating that Clops made the item (this is not accurate though, Nails can confirm the sale in the early 2010s to this player). He dropped the item on the ground, Mesanna kicked him out of the box and deleted his item. He was being a jerk it should be said, so I'm sure that didn't help but eh just looks so bad.
My take: He made a good point, he said "this item has been around longer than you have been around" or something along those lines, and that clops was an EM hired under her watch. you can't just blanket delete the original EM item from 2006, since you don't want people to have any ethereal items.
Another point in my mind would be the handful of glacial cloth items from 2008 ; these have origination IDs which would show how old (relatively) the item is - you can tell which ones were created over a decade ago and which ones are new from Clops era. These were ALLOWED in 2008 to a specific player for giving the devs a very valuable exploit. The fact the player took a break and you then decided to outlaw an extremely rare color because of something one of YOUR EM's did a decade later is a very bad look.
You basically turned your back on someone who gave you a high level exploit, and went back on an agreement. You want your players to feel rewarded for doing your leg work (bug hunting), and what you did with this guys cloak , and the 2008 glacial set is cutting off your nose to spite your face

he stopped recording after his exchange and the stuff with the cloak but we're missing most of the M&G transcript so someone please post when available
