Cause your wife will come into your room, and start yelling again "I SEEE! You are playing the darn game again!". At least thats what mine does. And the I SEEEE is like 70 decibels! Ouch my poor ear drums!
Something very similar to that LOL. Even when she's not home though I rarely turn on the sound, too much noise.

The way I see it, pre-patch dragons are now worthless, except maybe to collectors. Mine jumped to 4 slot.

Anyone can tame a 4 slot stygian drake with up to 825 STR and no dragon breath.

If you trained them 2 days prior to patch 99 they aren't worthless. ~

It might be just me but I don’t think of my dragon as “worthless”. But then again I made mine kind like my greater dragon, difference being I added armor ignore (I feel bleed is silly on the GD). In hindsight, I wish I’d have gone with, at least, hit point regen. But I think my dragon compares pretty well to greater dragons.

I will still buy three slotters if I see them for sale. Not for what I used to, I am willing to pay for them alot less, but they still hold value to me. And no, I do not think they will ever revert the changes they have made, it just makes me sad to think of people just releasing/killing off their old dragons.

We still keep ours! Sentimental fools that we are hehe. :) Do you happen to know, would a combo of say, a Dragon and a Mare/Bake still be viable in terms of damage dealt or is that no way near what a slotted up pet can do? As we wrote elsewhere, we do have specialised tanks so then several weaker pets can be an option. (The 5 wolfspiders also really can be a blast when the mob does not retarget or use area spells, like in the 2017 invasions.) But we just wondered if you got to test that as well on one of those drones? We never know how people keep the numbers to compare from such tests.

I am horribly sentimental also, which is why I will save any pet I see someone getting rid of, especially if they have names. (It creates stable issues, I wont tell you how many tamers I have that function just as stable holders)

Unfortunately when I ran the numbers most combos, they didn't even come close. However, if you like taking out your dragon with a mare/bake, what's wrong with that? Yeah your pets won't crush dps, but they are fun to still bring out and if they bring joy... nothing wrong with something that brings joy.

We too enjoy our wolf spider packs. If you can keep the whole pack alive, they crush it with dps. Actually higher damage than chiv/ai on the right targets.

I honestly have no idea if this dragon was legacy or not, as I found him on a pet vendor in new mag for 5k or 10k (I forgot which). He was 4 slot and had about 8% or 9% completed on the training and figured I’d see what I could do.

Anyway, back to WW’s. I’m really considering training one of my legacy WW’s.but I have a question, would be smart to go 120 tactics? Or is 110 tactics more then enough? If I go 110 tactics, does anyone think it would look weird on a legacy with everything else being 120? I’m willing to burn my last 120 scroll set on this guy, so it’s not a matter of trying to save gold.

Well done on getting this back on topic haha! We cannot answer if it is smart, as we have too few fully finished pets ourselves. But we think we would go for 120 ourselves, it just looks that bit better to have all 120s instead of the one 110.

Okay, so we've talked about your wyrms before, since they are pre-publish 16s, i would definately go all 120s on them. They are the creatures deserving of such treatment. Any guildies who decided not to go all 120s on their legacy wyrms/dragons regretted the decision.

I am also about to train my White Wrym. Any advice would be appreciated. I am being super cautious because it is also a Pre-Patch 3 slot with 754 Strength.
I am sad though that its Stamina is maxed at 125 or was that the dexterity. Was hoping it would be 150 like other pets.

It’s Dex that you will not be able to increase to 150. Dex is mainly movement speed on pets. Stamina is important to increase to 150, as that is the swing speed for pets. So be sure to kick that to 150.

No its Dex. Just walking speed, no big effect on fights unless you plan on PvP, that you would not anyways since the Chiv. It will still be one of the best draconians in this game!

Yep, he's gonna spam AI constantly against stuff. WWs love to chain AIs, as we saw when testing it out in Wrong dungeon.

Now THAT'S what I call a COOL WW,....
Building mine at the moment. Looks quite similar to yours, exept for HP and Mana. Still have 619 points to spend.... (done chiv and AI, all 120 scrolls, MR30, HPR20, Base damage 24-33). Now want to go for SR 10. If I put 525 training points in the 630 HP, I only have 34 training points for mana which results in just 464 mana.... How did you get to 646 hits and 522 mana???

If all other things are the same (with the exception of int/str) it would all come down to base animal intensity.

I concur. I try to shoot for 600 hp and whatever points I have left over tend to go there. I would certainly take parry to 120 and stam regen to 10, make sure dex and int are capped, hp toward 600, then top mana off where you feel good about it and anything left back in HP. This is generally how I would approach it. YMMV.

Parrying is set to 120 as visible in the second picture of the last row - that there is no value for parry in the second pictture third row is because wrestling is at only 95.1. Since we talk about a legacy WW, STR, DEX and INT are fixed....

Regarding that mana should be 500+ and most actions cost 30 mana, a multiple of 30 - so 510 makes me feel good. In this case HP will be 622 and mana will be 512..... Does it sound to you as good as it sounds to me :) ?

Khaelor likes their weekend sleep.

The advise given about the remaining points is solid. I, personally like 10 stam regen on my wyrms. Long as you hit 600 hits on your white wyrm you are in good shape, some like more. Its all personal preference.

Remember your WW is constantly regenning mana, so that would only hold true if there was no mana regen to account for.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, Khaelor, my source of wisdom. I go for the 524 mana then, and 620HP (SR is 10 already). I just wonder now how long it will take to train all the skills to 120.....

1. Does he eat gold?

2. Am I reading that right, you are putting magery/eval scrolls on him? If so don't do that. But you do want a Chiv scroll.

3. Comparing a Fire Steed, Nightmare and White Wyrm is difficult, they all have different damage profiles. They will excel fighting different things. One of the things about the wyrm that is nice is it doesnt have dragon breath, so it's not wasting it's mana on that. On a zero resist target, a white wyrm will always do more damage.

4. Level your chiv on all your animals, you won't regret it. Seriously. (not saying to put chiv on all your animals, but the animals with chiv, make sure to level it)

No eval scroll. Chivalry will overwrite both magery and eval int. WW won't use those skills any more after you add chiv.

Because of the overcapped STR you will not be able to add any more INT, but you can put it into mana if you want.
I don’t understand the over cap str. How come we can’t put more intel ? Can you tell us more on this
I look at the last pet dmg calculator seem that str we want lots lots of str

The "overcap" STR is due to the fact, that it is a LEGACY White Wyrm - that means a White Wyrm that spawned BEFORE patch 97.

The 3 Primary Stats (Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence) have individual caps through training, these are:
Strength: 700
Dexterity: 150
Intelligence: 700

You can go over these individual caps, but only if the pet spawns with the higher stat already (like Legacy WW's can with Str).

In addition to the individual stat caps, there is also a "Group" intensity cap for all 3 primary stats combined. This is 2300 intensity.

This is why you often see 700 Strength, 150 Dexterity, 370 Intelligence on trained pets:

700 Strength * 3 Intensity per STR = 2100 Intensity
150 Dexterity * .1 Intensity per DEX = 15 Intensity
370 Intelligence * .5 Intensity per INT = 185 Intensity
2100 + 15 +185 = 2300

Since Legacy WW's spawn with such high primary stats, they are already at the 2300 Intensity cap, therefore cannot raise DEX or INT any higher than they are. Taking an example from above:

756 Strength = 2268 Intensity
125 Dexterity = 13 Intensity (it rounds up)
420 Intelligence = 210 Intensity
2268 + 13 + 210 = 2491 Intensity, putting it over the 2300 trainable intensity cap.

Outside of Base Damage, STR is the most important modifier for the damage calculation, so the higher the STR of a pet, the more damage it has the potential to do. This is why Legacy WW's are desirable (and Legacy Dragons too, before they started slot jumping on training).

I know this is an old thread, but I'm finally training up one of my wyrms and I have this same question.

If I go with 120 focus, should I go with 5 or 10 stam regen?
Put 5 SR on. Take it to something that hits hard. I'm sure this will be denied but some identical build pet types will lose more stamina than others. If you feel yours does not lose stamina when hit, then leave it 5. If it is losing stamina bump it up. Cus do not lose stamina as much as many pet types do. I have done many side by side tests so I have pet types that need 10 or more. I put 10 on Nightmares because they lose stamina when hit. I would rather have those 5 SR in HP.

For Wyrms, I prefer 10, people tend to use them on Belfry, which is one of the highest base damage mobs (not to mention the db) in game. They can lose stamina there.

Very sad...
