Account mismanagement strikes again, yall have any ideas?

Who has any idea how to fix this? These morons have no clue whatsoever what they are doing, they can't understand (as you will see if you read it) that people want/need more than one gametime code per month. I'm chapped! The last time I ordered from them, I waited two days to get the two codes...this time I got one immediately, still no code for the second purchase. Both purchases have settled off the card now, with no refund that was promised.

@Mesanna This is why we buy stuff from 3rd party sites...just an FYI

I am also led to believe that if I dispute this with the card and pull the payment back they will action the accounts...It's a nice racket EA and company have going

I understand your concern however we can not send it from our end. It is server basis and will apply on your account with the server directly. So here I will suggest you to please restart your PC once for syncing and then check it again.

That is exactly why players buy from 3rd party sites.... You could literally spend Thousands of dollars with them a year and they would still lock your account after so many purchases using the same payment method.

And when I went back to chat, I would have to open a new session...estimated wait time, 84 minutes..

I think this money is just gonna have to be considered tuition, for the class on "Don't buy stuff from EA/Origin ever again"

I could have given that money to a trusted gold seller, bought a gametime from someone, and had gold leftover in the bank...

Wow... that's pretty sad. The first one didn't know that gametime codes aren't automatically applied to the account, and the second one thought it was an entire game, not just a month of subscription.

You'd think after 20 years of things like this happening they would have a special "Ultima Online" help manual they can open to check how this stuff works if they don't know, instead of just randomly throwing out misinformation and ridiculousness like "restart the computer and let it sync".... :coco:

The Origin site seems to act weirdly at times, I tried to get a 6 month game time code a month or so ago, when I attempted to check out with it I got a message that my card was declined and to try again later. An hour after that I got a phone call from the credit card company saying Origin had taken the payment 3 times and was this intended? I said no it wasn't intended and that they had said they hadn't even taken one payment. Then the lady on the phone said 'oh it's okay they gave them all back now!'
So I went back to Origin and bought the game time with no problem. Still not a clue what went wrong there....
Might help if they employed some people that know UO actually exists....

I've never bought EA cash cards in a brick and mortar Walmarts, just online. They'll likely work just the same.

I use PAYPAL on Origin when I pay for my second accounts game code. Instant access code on your screen. Also, under your Origin purchase history, the CODE WILL BE LISTED.

On a slightly other issue, anyone else having log in issues with Origin? I have a 15 yr old account with them, but the site keeps saying my session has timed out and I have to reset my password nbut I still can't access it. I ended up creating a whole new account.

I know your frustration... I have the conversations with the morons there 2x a year when they bill me from Switzerland and my card gets blocked. You call EA since they are the ones doing the billing but they tell you to go to Broadsword who tells you that you have to contact EA... and eventually you just blow up.

Chewed them a new one last month in fact at EA... They seriously charged me for my account x2... at which point I just gave up... take the loss.

I get so fed up dealing with them. I wish we could just get what we need from Broadsword and pay Broadsword leave EA and Origin out of it.

You would, except most EA representatives don't even know what the hell Ultima Online is.
Reminds of a chat I had with Origin or EA customer help like last year. For some reason or another, gametime codes went poof from Origin for few days. I contacted them in an effort to learn what's up and if/when they are coming back. Got informed Ultima Online is not being supported by EA or products related to it offered for sale via Origin. People you reach " read the manual" about newest Battlefield and Sims.. that's about it.

If you end up in a horrible situation where you need to explain any UO related issue to anyone EA/origin side, it pays to imagine talking to your mom about it. " There is a video game called Ultima Online..."

Did you receive your code? Sorry those conversations make my head spin? If you did not...
1, go to origin store and log in
2. slide out from arrow by your account name, click EA Account and Billing
3. in the left menu....Order History
4. You will see the status of your orders. You should see the two orders you placed on the same day with completed as the status. The item you are looking for should be in the list, with the game time code visible.

For some reason I stopped receiving information by email and use this method to retrieve my codes, then apply to my Broadsword account.

I don't even bother with looking at my email any longer. Screen shot from the Origin / EA site the confirmation number when I order and then keep checking / refreshing the Customer Portal until the order goes from "pending" to "completed".

this is the only credit card i can use since EA doesn't take a Lowes or Home Depot credit card. i don't want to have to go the gametime code route because that seems to be such a pain with multiple accounts.

Sorry I can't help you with this one without getting all the "sensitive" information. The only thing I can think of to try is to go into the accounts that are not accepting the card, remove the info and re-enter it. Also you might need to check with your card holder. It could be a new security feature they added and being the card withdrew 3 amounts from the same "vendor" within a month it may have flagged. If the issue can't be resolved you might need to think about trying game time codes for those two accounts via the Origin / EA store.

Oh yeah edit to add ~ If you do go the game time code route, be very sure to remove billing info from the Broadsword site just in case the issue resolves it's self and auto pay kicks back in.

Sorry I can't help you with this one without getting all the "sensitive" information. The only thing I can think of to try is to go into the accounts that are not accepting the card, remove the info and re-enter it. Also you might need to check with your card holder. Yeah I can't tell you how many times I've had the conversation with my CC company about the fact that I do indeed have 13 paid UO accounts that bill from my CC ... and they bill 1 every 2 weeks for 6 months at a time... and one monthly.... on occasion when I'm holding a house. So yes I do want those charges regardless of the whole EA/Pogo fiasco... and I explain once again that this has been a thing for the last XX years... please mark it on my account and stop getting your undies in a bunch over it...

Don't you love it when the bank is more concerned with how you spend your money than you are :) For my game bank account I switched to a little 3 branch regional bank and explained when I opened the account that there would be recurring charges and it would be considered by some to be a large amount of money over the course of the year and could be viewed as suspicious activity. And they made a note of It and only once in the last 9 years have blocked a transaction on the account and that was when I bought 10 tons of pig feed when I handed the elevator the wrong card, because it was not one of the common purchases and a large $$$ amount. The bank I used before that for game transactions about every 3-4 months would block the transaction and freeze my card.... Very frustrating. AS far as EA CS every time I have to deal with them it looks very much like the OPs chats and I perm close 5-10 accounts. I used to have 56 accounts paid every 6 months....... Now I have 22 and I am sure the next time I have to try to resolve a issue with my number of active accts will drop to 10-17 depending on how angry they make me. Hehe they have slowly been phasing me out of UO over the last 6-7 years.

Have you tried looking in your Origin account ORDER HISTORY, which will list ALL your purchases and includes the CODES. Before you slam your head into a wall....

Please tell me you found your missing code there?? I am following this thread with baited breathe, dude! The contact you have had with EA games is not unlike I had with them on the phone (in London, mind you on a mobile phone so the longer they took "talking to their specialists" cost me 42 pence per minute (or 55 cents a minute), and I was on with them for an hour (it was like banging my head on the desk)

I offered that many many times, I made quite a few posts before and even videos explaining... I understand that they have a really "Bad System" and involve 2 different website to get it done and to link and unlink accounts is another Huge issue....but I've been doing for years and years and I know how the system work and how to deal with....

regarding calling them, I already told this many few times as well, it is pointless, there is TWO different EA/Origin customer service available, from 8am to 4pm ET, 50% of the time you will get an American Person and the things will go smooth, after 4pm ET, 100% of the people answering the phone will be "oversea" and Good Luck for us all.

Second thing I want to point, Origin/EA ONLY SELL the codes, they have NOTHING to do with the UO acct mgmt, ANY, ANY problem with codes or anything you will need to contact support from UO... the majority of the people that work for EA/Origin have NO clue at all about UO and they will "read" a guideline to try to help you..... like those idiots that you have to call to help you with the Internet issues at home and they will ask you 300x to reset your modem and call back.

Yes! It wazs there, and probably had been the whole time! Why they never ever bothered to tell me about that spot to look is really beyond me. And those chats and dragging this out for a week could have been avoided.

They are incompetent morons.. there, thats off my chest.

Uriah, I found that BY ACCIDENT one day when my code never showed up (using a credit card). I don't even bother with an email anymore, I go straight to the Order History and Bingo! Bob's your uncle, Fanny's your aunt. I also don't use Credit cards anymore Paypal all the way.

Glad you got your codes!! :cheerleader:
