Please explainCrystal ball in your backpack...
Put a crystal ball, say one of the Chrystal Balls of Knowledge from Ortlem in the Royal City, in your pack, cast a spell and target the ball. The game sees it as a valid target and you have the chance to gain skill. Please explain
I still like the idea of craftsmen/ crafts women being able to make training dummies that you can train up to aleast GM skill
If you're just looking to train and not test combos just target your spellbookPlease explain

You mean, like a Mannequin ?The dummy would need all 70s or be able to wear armor at a minimum.
This would the way to go . Kinda like steward that's doesn't just walk awayI think what the OP is talking about it more of a sparing partner rather than actually training the skill.
This concept has been implemented on some free servers. It actually is a cool concept. It let's you dump on it and has AI to heal/cure. One server even had it set up to where it would attempt to cycle you back. I would love for something like this to come into game. I think one of the main issues with people getting into PvP or advancing in pvp is they either don't have the friends/guild to practice with or might be a little nervous to look like a newb. Both are totally understandable reasons. Having something like this would really help get people comfortable with their casting abilities and macros.
Spot on. How many old players come back to play UO, go to Yew gate and get ganked, called a noob or whatever then never log back in. Probably quite a few.I think one of the main issues with people getting into PvP or advancing in pvp is they either don't have the friends/guild to practice with or might be a little nervous to look like a newb.
