"King's Council" meeting summary 2nd January

I didn't attend and won't attend the other today..not out of spite but because I am still fairly new to Siege and still am unsure as to what is going on with the *politics* of the shard.

On top of the fact that there is no official King here (King Blackthorn is absent I am told) and you have to hold Governor meetings on your own, it makes it quite difficult.

Might I suggest having a poll to see what day of the month works best for most of the citizens here and hold one meeting a month as the other shards do.

It was nice of Mesanna to drop by today to discuss this situation with the shard, for those of you who were not on, she said that EM Bennu will continue to do whatever it is he does here until she hires and trains a new EM. She was very polite and thoughtful and asked those who were on what they thought of him. Most said they had no problems with him, just his absence was not good. Also note that Bennu is a very busy man with a family irl, but that should be taken into consideration when dividing up his EM-time between 2 shards.

Until such time a new EM is hired, the citizens here should take it upon themselves, as it seems they are trying to do, to find a happy medium.

I am very pleased to see the amount of activity I see here...I was a Governor on Origin for 1 term and did not run for a second because nothing was happening..I tried to run a few events but nothing came out of it. I would like to be more involved here, not only with Governor-related topics but player-run events and such, as well as trying to make the town I live in more active.

No hard feelings to anyone...I have come to know a lot of you just from here on Stratics, and I look forward to getting to know you more in-game.

Do not be afraid to get involved, or feel that you are not able to participate due to your New to Siege status. you are a UO veteran and your input will be welcome. Shard politics are always volatile, but deep down we are a family (dysfunctional yes, but a family none the less) so just remember to temper your opinions and never make ultimatums and you'll do fine.
