So i was playing siege and left the game for a while, come back and my house and junk is gone which deosnt bother me so much but can see how this may turn return players off. Imagine you played seven years and came back to nothing.
My suggestion is instead of idocing houses you deed them for a while if a return player comes back his house is and junk is deeded and make him jump through a couple of hoops to get the shabang back. He is happy, new people can place, its a win win.
That is what bank storage is for. I mean housing plots can be found easily so no house deed is needed. It be a code nightmare for the devs to be able to redeed every item in the game just because a player decided to quit.
There is a difference when it comes to these discussions You have players that quit.
They know they are going to quit so they have a choice. To bank their items on all chars and bank boxes. OR they can just quit with no intentions of coming back. Now if they do the second option and do come back then that fault is theirs and theirs alone. The key word is
choice and that depends on what the player does with that choice.
Then you have the players that
gamble the 90 days. Which is now 94 days and 22 hours if I am correct.
They take that gamble knowing that UO can be glitchy or messed up and take a loss if it does happen. They usually win most of the time and only pay 4 times a year to keep their items versus a player who is supporting the game every month. So they are
knowingly taking a gamble so as I already stated above....It be a code nightmare for the devs to be able to redeed every item in the game just because a player decided to gamble with the housing timer and decay.
Then you have the player who gets screwed by the site because it rejected their CC or something similar even though they pay monthly and keep their stuff updated. This I can agree when its the
company fault, not the player. Only suggestion is game time is safer to use and more secure than CC until EA or BS can get a working billing system. So since it would be
100% EA or whoever fault, not the player, then a player should be fully compensated for their losses.
