It was the shard specific rewards that was the idea not my somewhat dubious statement that people still farm low pop shardsIf people are faming low population shards now for the current drops, adding a new shard bound drop wont change anything. These people will continue to farm dead shards and still get what they are getting now.
Yerg! den when yoos kills mees and takes mees scrolls mees cans buy dem back! All scrolls and such shard bound..period.

Lol well yea I guess..or instead of people farming dead shards 24/7 attended or not then shipping them over to ATL and ruining the one thriving "sort of" economy left in game, there will be a purpose of actually farming scrolls. Not only would they be worth more on certain shards like ATL that has a lot of competition. You'll see more people out there farming them on the shards they play over farming for three weeks on Legends and flooding ATL with hundreds of scrolls at a time.Yerg! den when yoos kills mees and takes mees scrolls mees cans buy dem back!
It would creat a new intrest in champ spawns but power scrolls are mostly needed for up and coming players on atl they would get extremly expensive maybe if tramm champs would dropp 110 scrolls you still need almost 100 scrolls to creat a 120 so i do not think it would take anything away from fell champs just to get new players a chance to get a little better before they go for the fell champsLol well yea I guess..or instead of people farming dead shards 24/7 attended or not then shipping them over to ATL and ruining the one thriving "sort of" economy left in game, there will be a purpose of actually farming scrolls. Negative. All scrolls and such shard bound..period.
Why?Every item in game should be transferrable...nothing should be shard bound. .
Ok..I feel as if "idea" would be cutting into your specific profit margins, and ruin your X-Shard play.. for that I am sorry. Still doesn't change the fact that spawns initially were created to bring activity back to Fel, and it succeeded. Now it's just a market flooded by people farming dead shards, trying to make easy money..it has nothing to do with anti-transferring "propaganda" like you say. It's logic..to stifle an over abundance of items being shipped and dumped into a market only drives the costs down. I know people are too afraid to actually do a spawn when people are there to raid it, or idk get a group of friends together and protect it, or idk play with anyone else in general at the junction of UO..but I'm sure having 20 dead shards and this outcome wasn't initially intended.Negative.
I would have quit long ago if this was the case.
Even if power scrolls dropped in Trammel, which they should, I'd be against this all this anti-transfer BS propaganda people are pushing.
Every item in game should be transferrable...nothing should be shard bound. Bunch of BS is what it is...
I understand your point of view because I play both facets so I don't expect you to understand mine. I don't consider the diminishing of the one positive aspect of the game that the dev's threw the pvper's way over ten years ago as "leveling the playing field."I could care less about Felucca...
The fact that players want items only in Felucca in order to lure people there tells you right there that there you have a problem. The vast majority of players don't want to PvP, yet those non-Pvpers (who make up the vast majority of the playerbase) have essentially been excluded from experiencing a major part of the game (Champion Spawns/Powerscrolls) still to this day.
I don't care about the cost going down of powerscrolls...in fact I think it's great! I love buying them cheap today, and I enjoyed transferring them and selling them on Atlantic. I made millions upon millions selling powerscrolls and I helped drive down the price making them easier for other non-Pvpers to acquire without having to go to a place they have no desire to go, or pay through the nose to get a powerscroll.
Transferring powerscrolls helped put an end to the Monopoly of guilds making millions upon millons off of Non- Pvpers. It's leveled the playing field.
Plus transferring is good for the game. The UO store sells transfer tokens which are a source of revenue for the game.
If they want to continue to diminish UOs revenue source they should continue making items shard bound.
I highly doubt that they do, can you really blame them though? they work on the game all day during the week, why would they want to play it when they are home from work as well, especially since the games been around so long, that would be like working 12-15 hours a day for 17 years straight lol.The powerscoll/stat scroll was pretty balanced, untill the day they invented scroll binders, and shard shields..
At times i really wonder if the devs, actually play this game at all.
So you think its ok, for the DEVS to just impliment something. And not really think about what impact it has on the game. Only because they are too busy coding new stuff out of blue air ?I highly doubt that they do, can you really blame them though? they work on the game all day during the week, why would they want to play it when they are home from work as well, especially since the games been around so long, that would be like working 12-15 hours a day for 17 years straight lol.
They needed/wanted the income of shard transfers..it really all went to **** when they brought in shields..not only was that a terrible business idea in regards to income..but it single handingly destroyed 90% of each shards economy. It was a quick fix so they didn't have to merge shards..glad that worked out! At least now you can freely transfer your 1bil event items. The powerscoll/stat scroll was pretty balanced, untill the day they invented scroll binders, and shard shields..
