How long does it take to process promotional code

I followed the steps for redeeming a promotional code and I'm still waiting for the wookworker's bench token to appear in my pack. How long does this normally take now? In the past, it seemed like it was nearly instantaneous.

I know a Legacy token can take up to a few minutes.

Ten minutes or so. I now have the following message: "PROMO AGENT tells ___: Promotion redemption failed: internal error. Please contact a Game Master if you need additional support." How do you do that? Looking on the help menu, it says i have a pending help request. I don't want to cancel that to seek a game master, or at least I don't think I want to do that. I assume that help request is the same as my promotional item.

The "Cancel Pending Request" is always there. Just a default option button. Don´t worry about that if you know you haven´t paged any GMs lately.

I would either try again later or page a GM now to see if they can help with it.

Ok, silly question from an experienced player...how do you do that? I don't see that option on help menu.

Here are the instructions sent with purchase:

Redemption Instructions:
• Launch Ultima Online and sign into the character you'd like to claim the token with.
• Open your paperdoll (or character window) and click on the "Help" button.
• Click the "Promotional Code" button at the bottom of the Help window.
• Enter your Token Code EXACTLY as it appears in your code redemption email.
• Your code will be verified and, if valid, a Token will be placed in your inventory bag.
• These Tokens are transferable and can be traded or given to others.

Received same error message even with changing hyphenation. What a bunch of crap. So now I am paging a GM?

They fixed that so you can type it in the way you got it.

Try logging in on a diff char on the same account and make sure that you are copy/pasting with cntrl v in promotion box and be patient and cross your fingers. Some things take a few moments. and good luck :)

My first attempt used the copy and paste -- and I wondered if it caused the problem. From your suggestion it sounds like that method is permissible so glad to see that isn't the problem. I then logged onto a second account and tried by typing it in, but that was also unsuccessful. Then I tried on the original account with the modified hyphens without success. Waited for a GM for as long as I could, but just logged out. Will have to resolve it later.

Update: Received an email explaining that some codes are being sent in wrong format and need to reformat to the 65555 format. So I did that again as instructed and no success. Email said to reply to email if I continued to have problems. I have that am awaiting a response.

Almost every time I buy a Forged Metal Tool, it never appears quickly. But if I try entering the code again (without canceling), then it'll appear quickly, along with a message that the code has already been redeemed. It could be coincidence, but I've waited anywhere from one minute to five.
