AoF, Luck Garb, Leurocian Mempo, cleanup jewels (either set), luck talisman. After that, 190 luck on all remaining pieces, and the Soles of Providence.Interesting you should post that, @Poo. I've never worried about luck - until now with the new loot, because I've been getting crap without it - pretty disappointing. Maybe it's time I started planning some luck suits - although I can't imagine how I would get 2410.
remembered that new Talisman came out with luck on it, which is what my suit needed!
sit back and get ready to get your luck fetish tweaked!
2410 + statue = 3410 + Fel 1000 = 4410!
4410 luck is actually overkill as you only need 3982 for a 100% proc; honor would not improve upon success in this situation.Too bad you can´t get the Perfection luck bonus with that temp.
You only need 1,144 luck for a 50% proc, which to me is reasonable enough given your suit will actually have decent mods other than luck. No way in hell I'd be satisfied with a suit that only had 35 cold resist. I obtained the mempo and garb when they were available and have a 1,900 luck base and decent (60s) resists, but I would focus on spined kits and re-forging paired with the 100% enhance tool you can get through UO's Origin store rather than bother with the 80M needed to "be there."Hm, so we're talking 80M just for the mempo of fortune and conjurer's garb with luck - once again the rich get richer or those who don't have the gold pay to play or miss out - I don't think I like the new loot being based on luck this much
ya, that is my exact suit that is listed above, i didnt pay anything for it though.Hm, so we're talking 80M just for the mempo of fortune and conjurer's garb with luck - once again the rich get richer or those who don't have the gold pay to play or miss out - I don't think I like the new loot being based on luck this much
That's a great description! Thanks.ya, that is my exact suit that is listed above, i didnt pay anything for it though.
i was lucky enough (no pun intended) to get those items during game play. (AoF, conj garb, sandals ect ect ect)
my T hunter and mage also have luck suits but not maxed out like that, my warrior too now that i think about it.
it really dosnt take much to whip up a nice phat suit.
if you have a imbuer ya just make like 10 of each pieces ya need for your suit.
so 10 tunics, 10 legs, 10 arms and the such.
then you imbue them with 90 luck onto each.
then enhance each with spined.
with having 10 of each our bound to get at least one to live.
so now you have each piece of your suit with 130 luck.
you from then can tailor the suit how ya need it.
if your a tamer or mage or T hunter you can put on LRC and LMC and MR and then buff up the resists a little.
or if your a warrior you can sink it all into resists.
then do the same for a shield and weapon, or just go on the cheap and pick up one of those Jhanna(sp?) staffs or some swords of prosperity.
drop on one of those robes of the equinox.
then lastly make up a ring and watch how ya want it.
go pick up 20 mushrooms from the tomb of the kings so you can put 100 luck on each.
now youve got a suit that is probably around 1300 luck.
you can hit the statue and it will probably get ya over 2000.
cheap and easy.
just follow me, im a cheap scot's man!
Say, what is the luck boost formula?4410 luck is actually overkill as you only need 3982 for a 100% proc; honor would not improve upon success in this situation.

For doom bosses you need more than 10k luck for 100% drop.4410 luck is actually overkill as you only need 3982 for a 100% proc; honor would not improve upon success in this situation.
for arties? true, but also consider the gauntlet has a guaranteed drop system, as well so I'd wager faster kill efficiency would be more important than high luck in that situation. For doom bosses you need more than 10k luck for 100% drop.
I'd just go by what they have at UOGuide:Say, what is the luck boost formula?
I might be thinking of event items but I thought they changed luck to random amongst top damager listThis roll applies to all loot that is spawned, even that which is given to other attackers in their own instanced corpses; the top attacker's Luck applies to everyone.
Ah cool, thanks.I'd just go by what they have at UOGuide:

I had the same problem yesterday building my 2200 Luck Gargoyle Suit. I couldn't get a shield above 140 with Copper Runics.Anybody have tips on reforging a 150 luck shield? I've burned 200 charges worth of Copper Runics using powerful reforging with Auspicious/of fortune and only get 140 luck. Am I doing it wrong or do I need to sacrifice a goat to the RNG?
Thanks for the tip, it worked! Now to clean up the goat entrails and enhance! 2250 luck before statue, mmmmmI had the same problem yesterday building my 2200 Luck Gargoyle Suit. I couldn't get a shield above 140 with Copper Runics.
Bronze Runic with Powerful+Grand+Inspired (Auspicious/of fortune) 4 charges and I started getting 150 luck pieces.
well luck is pretty straight forward--until you cap 100% I guess ;P but otherwise it's RNG bump. that being said, you can still end up with really crappy loot that is bumped to just plain crappy, and not really. so even if you max out, you're still going to sift through some ****.Well, if you all think 1500 or s0 luck can make a big difference, I can do that without spending anything through imbuing and reforging (not counting fel and perfection bonus). But 3000 plus base luck - no way I can afford that. I guess I'm just saying this is another system tempting players to buy real-life gold to get the gear to have fun, and that bothers me. But I guess that's the way it's been for a while unless you've already been playing and collecting for years. Sorry for the rant. Back to practical matters.
I learned something. So I had been wondering about this when hunting with some friends. When did it change? I need to read up!I'd just go by what they have at UOGuide:

Hm I'll have to do some digging. I thought they made a change in which luck was selected randomly amongst those qualified on the loot list but I can't verify. Perhaps around the time they changed how healing affects loot chance.I learned something. So I had been wondering about this when hunting with some friends. When did it change? I need to read up!
410 luck is wasted. 4k luck gives you 100%remembered that new Talisman came out with luck on it, which is what my suit needed!

i use a shield sometimes on samp. it just means you cant parry but alot of the time you dont need too. i also found that using mace and shields for the hld often is better than a luck piece because it ensures you get perfection bonus, plus kill stuff faster (mostly for high end stuff where theres alot of misses without hld)Do you guys prefer luck suit for a mage or melee/sampire?
I found using a luck suit on my sampire was so much faster than using my tamer/mage. Only slight problem is no shield on my sampire so only 190 luck on weapon.
What quest is that? I'd love to have one of those!Actually you can get a luck/conjurers garb ingame, if you spend enough time into it. (Turning in 100 artefacts from the blackthorn dungeon.)
I saw a noticeable difference when my luck statue wore off putting me at 700 from 1650. I was getting an artifact of some level every 5 minutes or so with, and didnt see any in over 10 minutes with 700.Well, if you all think 1500 or s0 luck can make a big difference, I can do that without spending anything through imbuing and reforging (not counting fel and perfection bonus). you can buy one, should be pretty cheap, otherwise you can kill stuff in the anti-virtue dungeons, and one has a chance to appear in your back pack.Where can I get one of those statues?
When you say cheap....how much would it be normally?you can buy one, should be pretty cheap, otherwise you can kill stuff in the anti-virtue dungeons, and one has a chance to appear in your back pack.
Its a 10th anniversary item, you can get them by killing stuff in legacy dungeons like shame, wrong, destard etc it will they will drop in your pack, but you can probably easily find a bunch of them in public houses you can use. Looks like a little blue/purple globe with a UO symbol on it. Called 10th anniversary statue.Where can I get one of those statues?
I don't think it can be disregarded. I had noticed this change earlier in Shame, before the latest patches and publishes. My tamer seemed to be collecting loot as per usual, until joined by a friend and we partied up. Tamer was still the lead damage source, but the quality of the loot changed drastically, and not for the better. So the new motto must be, Go lucky, or go home. HmmmmHm I'll have to do some digging. I thought they made a change in which luck was selected randomly amongst those qualified on the loot list but I can't verify. Perhaps around the time they changed how healing affects loot chance.
Maybe best to disregard until I can find the evidence ;P. maybe I am thinking of event item changes.
Have a look at http://uo2.stratics.com/items/blackthorn-artifacts . It is one of the rewards for which you need to hand in 100 artefacts. What quest is that? I'd love to have one of those!
If you are on Atlantic, I'll give you one. When you say cheap....how much would it be normally?
if you dont have allergies to Fel you can go to despise and chain a couple rat spawns.Where can I get one of those statues?
Thanks for the offer, but I am in EuropaIf you are on Atlantic, I'll give you one.
I've seen them for as low as 50k. But, with their turn in value, it's probably significantly higher.
Might be a good idea, I'll have to look it up.if you dont have allergies to Fel you can go to despise and chain a couple rat spawns.
i usually pull like 3 of the drops per champ i do.
on a given evening i usually get at least 1 statue.
if you dont do champs then you can probably find them for sale for cheap.
they are a very common drop in the virtue dungeons.
