You want a gold sink. Have a npc sell transfer tokens for like 20-25 mil. Would be a huge gold sink...
Most likely not. For one, dupers would have a field day. More importantly, they're a revenue generator for EA. We'd see price increases for other things, certainly any future expansions and perhaps even monthly subscriptions. You want a gold sink. Have a npc sell transfer tokens for like 20-25 mil. Yeah, I was thinking about that too. Sorta like how a seed box works. This would be awesome..if I could store up to 10 full soulstones or 50 fragments in it..I don't have enough wall space for individual ones..doubt many people do

i disagree that it should only be available 2 governors, governors r not the only 1s that run events, not by a long shot. & often the events that we put on r not even in a city. however, i have 2 agree that if it costs that much that it would cater 2 the gold sellers. so have the items be usuable everywhere but the cities, leave that 2 the governors. so if we wanted 2 have say a wedding in a remote location, we could use our 24 hr deco tool for that. imo, it should be something like the pen of wisdom w the same type of charges that is sold through the origin store, not a vet reward. sell the 24 hr deco tool for $20 or something like that. thats gonna keep griefers down & money is fed 2 the developers not gold farmers.Your 12th and 10th year ideas should be non-gold-sink governor abilities, not vet rewards. If a lot of people had that power the griefing could get out of hand--with governors there would be at max 9 people who could be kicked out if they abused the privilege. Furthermore, if it cost a lot, it would end up producing nothing but barkers for gold sellers. (And I don't think vet rewards should be gold sinks anyway.)
We have been rather lacking on indoor plumbing for a long time though...
Personally, I think an outhouse or composting toilet would be more appropriate for the time period....im totally hoping 2 see a real working toilet, thats been sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo overdue!
If we go back to Chaucer's time, "The Miller's Tale" uses a privy as a plot device for, uh, mistaken identity. Just like the very wealthy did with different palaces and hunting lodges before the advent of indoor plumbing, moving to the next one while others "aired out," this explains the necessity of any UO player having multiple houses.Personally, I think an outhouse or composting toilet would be more appropriate for the time period.
This would work. Goldsellers would hate it. Its tricky tho because that gold would have to be bought from players first. Would only take 1 employee to do it tho and would be a HUGE revenue source that is currently in the hands of players only at this point. Could buy gold from players for 25 cents a mil, sell for 35cents a mil, huge profits and everyones happy.EA/Broadsword: selling gold!! 35 cents a mill. trusted seller. Site may charge twice or not at all just keep trying.
Glad you like it. Was mostly humor about their website store being a pos.. but still. This would work. Goldsellers would hate it. Obviously simply creating gold to sell would cause rampant inflation on a magnitude that couldnt be supported for any significant amount of time
Britannia has earthlings living on it, and have likely brought over ideas from Earth, hell Lord British had shotguns in his castle he brought with him from Earth. A toilet in Britannia is not a far out idea or concept, Britannia is mainly still medieval because Magic exists in the world and the people never had a real need to develop technology. Besides if we have bathtubs with plumbing in UO [those tubs released last year] a toilet is doable.Personally, I think an outhouse or composting toilet would be more appropriate for the time period.
You mean we have modern plumbing?! I put a rainwater barrel on my roof to fill my tub and STILL have to drain it manually and dump the used water out the window!Britannia has earthlings living on it, and have likely brought over ideas from Earth, hell Lord British had shotguns in his castle he brought with him from Earth. If you get your wish, I sincerely hope they build a sewer treatment plant first! Our tubs have a shower faucet that turns on and off.... hellooooo! You damn right I want a working toilet.

The UO map does not and will not ever work that way.6 year tool that chops down a tree or fills in a 5x5 dirt patch so a house can be placed over top. Can use one time every 6 months, or whatever!
27th year? Thinking way ahead!first year
Blessed bag. Items that are insured, blessed. Cursed items creates a problem for this still.
27th year:
Teleporter that goes to a marked rune and returns on that exact location.
Fifth year:
Moonglow scaled sized Telescope deed
Also:
Modification to the lighthouse and shed make option for them to scale down to one tile.
That is easy when you step on the exact spot of the marked rune that you came in from if you are friended to that house it will return you back to the 17th year of UO... I mean the house. The teleporter would be binded to a marked rune. How would it work to return you to the teleporter?
27th year? Thinking way ahead!
A version of the Moonglow telescope would be awesome though! Smaller, I would hope. I remember when I first played UO and heard about the telescope braving my way there (back when moongates were random and running from city to city was common) and being sooooo disappointed that it didn't do anything.
You didn't like the lighthouse, shed, Davies locker and teleporters?I only ask one thing: Please make them decoration *only*. Do not give them any functionality.
V
I never said I don't like them. The problem is that they are limited to vet rewards. They ought to be a natural part of the game; the vet teleporter could be a giant gold sink, but instead it's a freebie... if you use a vet pick, and have sufficient age to claim one. If not? You get the inferior store version... and you'd better not be using it for a public location, as there's some players who will happily take a few minutes to burn every charge you can load onto them. You didn't like the lighthouse, shed, Davies locker and teleporters?
i am sorry. I thought they were cool.
This should have stayed a vet reward, and had the cap removed.+5 skill points per year up to year 4: Another which was clearly unbalancing without more explanation.
You are correct. I like the thought (especially from so many years ago when one single tree prevented dropping a house), but it isn't just artwork that can be changed on the client side. This would need server-side editing of a shard's individual map, and I don't see the Devs up for that. The UO map does not and will not ever work that way.
