Forever. Is the amalgamator a one time use object or can it be used repeatedly forever?
Ok, let's see - there are 4 levels (not counting Invul of course):
Defense, Hardening, Protection, Fortification.
and then there are 6 different components:
Cure, Gloss, Polish, Scour, Varnish, and Wash
and finally, there are 12 different armor types.
Bone, Chainmail, Dragon, Gargish Platemail, Gargish Stone, Hide, Platemail, Platemail Samurai, Ringmail, Studded Leather, Studded Samurai, and Woodland
So, in order to combine any of them - they must be exactly the same in Level, Component type and Armor type. Right?
A Cure of Defense Platemail will ONLY combine with another Cure of Defense Platemail. Right?
Nice to have the "amalgamator" to combine, but still way too many combos to save without stacking... Imo.
I mean, it seems to me that any craftsman that wants to keep a bunch of "possibles" to amalgamate - is going to need to have a LOT of storage space to "collect"... Crafting shouldn't require that much storage... Again, my opinion.
Um.. you only lose the ability to parry witb 2 handers if you imbue the Balanced property onto the weapon... You dont have to.I'm bummed that crap is now included in treasure chest loot.
Losing the ability to parry with 2h weapons tix me off more though.
Ahhh. Thank you. I can now drop the negativity I was harboring in an ignorant fashion.Um.. you only lose the ability to parry witb 2 handers if you imbue the Balanced property onto the weapon... You dont have to.
There is no difference in color between the grades of refinement. That would of made it harder to make them stack. LOLAre there any refinements more useful than others? I've got a bag full of them that I've never used. Mainly collected from champ spawns.

Also, I have following questions, the refinement product, cannot combine.. only raw material? can you make the products of refinement can combine, cannot stack... take too much space and no use for low level.
So having read all the posts in this thread I have decided that the system requires excessive storage, is overcomplicated and non-user friendly and like with so many other 'improved' aspects of the game I will simply never bother with again.
I am curious, Zog, how the 30%/15% pertains to refinements as those are for Eater caps only, which have zero to do with the refinements. Can you please take a moment to explain?I don't know how many others have, but I did one suit, after expending much effort in acquiring the refinements. After that, I was completely burned out. I don't bother with refinements anymore. Kyronix still refuses to address the 30%/15% nonsense which, for one, are much lower because the RNG is screwed up, and second, are far too low anyway considering how hard it is to acquire and/or amalgamate an invul refinement.

I have tons of experience with reforging and refining afterwards, with a portfolio of about 50 high-end PvP (a couple PvP ones are probably in the top 5 within the game as a whole), a couple dozen Sampire suits , and a ga-jillion 'modest' suits. With that said I am willing to share info and will also help clear things up, like the comment above.
If anyone wants to see some of my suits I have two on display (not the best I have but still fantastic!) in my Chessy Luna house, N/E corner. I also take special orders for custom-made, template-matched leather/studded human/elf suits. So far I have a 100% satisfaction rate!
Ahh, I see. Thanks for clearing that up - did not know that. The odds of 15% and 30% are for getting the "bonus" mod: 30% for Protection through Fortification, and only a 15% chance for invulnerability to get that fifth mod.
I find it unfortunate that you can not combine refinements after being combined with the corresponding ingredients. I have 100's all made up and not much i can do with them anymore. Also, it's a shame they don't stack. They do end up taking up a large amount of space, even if you do combine them since there are so many different varietiesOnly the raw refinements of the same type. They need to be used in your backpack.
Make sure you have enough refinements of the same type to complete it for a upgrade.
Ones you sorted out your refinements and combine them you can cut down on the total you have with a lot.
Is there any way to empty / clear the Amalgamator? And better with saving the containing refinment. The only issue i have with the amalgamators isthe inability to clear or empty them out. I now see that if you do not have the exact number needed to combine to a higher level or else it sits there until you do. I ended up claiming a few of them and locking them down.

This is MUST.
I missed the target once & now what? - buy anotherAmalganator or wait until you got 2 more uber-rare refinment
