Since this covers multiple professions, i figured id stick it here.

Is the sampire sitll the main game in town in regards to pvm? Has anything come close in terms of playing solo or with a small group? Thought about playing again out of bored, but as laggy as it is i might stick to pvkm to make some gold for a bit.

Got kinda sick of sampires over time and just wondered if there was something more fun yet just as damaging.

Pack of frenzy with a disco tamer. There is fast death fun for the grind hunts. That is if your out to enjoy the game and not needing to farm bosses for arty to get paid. A 4x120 firehorn bard with a weapon & pally skills. With keys lasting a week now it is easy to set up chat hunts.

I think it all depends what you are hunting. Sampires are still king of the champ spawns (IMO), but throwers, tamers, mystics, and archers still have their places to shine.

Try a Mystic/Chiv/Thrower with enough magery to reliable cast lvl 6 spells. Great character for almost anything. Get the right weapons and champ spawns are pretty easy too. RC to tank, Soul Glaves for lots more damage output and a little magery to invis and several other really handy magery support spells. Chiv adds lots to damage, and I put on tactics and anatomy for damage. Oh and Mass sleep is a life saver. Have fun!

for spawning

120 spirit speak
120 spellweave
120 taming
120 lore
120 magery
120 eval
(human form so you get 20 necro and get about 15 necro from jewelry to go into wraith form).

Essense of Wind with a lvl 6 focus and on spawn that can cast pre cast invis... Run into group... Invis on dragon... Once everything is targeting dragon and gets close... Thunderstorm away.... Can have armor refined or whatever its called so that your phys and fire is 75 each so that you can go 65 energy 65 poison?

Alternatively like teh guy above said..

you could go that route as well but i dunno i think you have more versatility as a spellweaver, tamer, necro, mage... Get you a 120 resist dragon and hit some spawns.. Someone comes down to try and field you off "for instance on ATL NAP guild is known for their fielding tactics *run off, expect you to chase them and throw up tons of fields*". Get you a 120 resist dragon so he can run right through the fields and chomp on their arse... Have a good one.

Hello Cetric, you probably don't recognize me, but we were friends from the past on Great Lakes. Here are some non sampire builds I've used before.

[[Mystic Melee]]

120 mystic
120 fenc/mace/sword
110 focus (120 with Obi Di Ense)
100 tact
70 anat (100 with +10 mark & +20 jewel set)
70 chiv
70 parry (100 with +30 jewel set)
60 heal (100 with +10 mark, +20 jewel set, & enhanced bandaging)

720 points

[ring & brace]

15 parry
10 anat
10 heal
15 hci
6 dci (added 1 extra optional %)
500/500 imbue weight

[arties]

-despicable quiver & conjurer's trinket (or 5% hci mana orb),
corgul's enchanted sash, tangle, conjurer's garbs, mark of travesty anat/heal, sign of order (shield)

[armor spec]

Goal is to use all reforged studded slots with lmc, mr, hpr, & stat incs for neck, chest, arms, hands, legs. Adding Hci or Dci on armor slots is optional while complicating a good structure.

[1Handed weapon spec]

May need to reforge di on weaponry depending on how much di you can get on the shield. Adding Hci or Dci on the weapon is optional while complicating a good structure.

[shield spec]

Need to obtain a shield with high dci (20% if none on weapon) & di (20-30% depending on weapon di).

[Stats]

DCI
Armor neck, arms, hands, chest, legs up to 5% (25%)
Clothing: Sash, Robe, Apron (15%)
Jewelry: Ring, Bracelet (12%)
Shield (up to 20%)
1Handed Weapon (up to 25%)

Total = 97%
Cap = 45%
(52% to shift around)
---

HCI
Armor neck, arms, hands, chest, legs up to 5% (25%)
Jewelry: Ring, Bracelet (30%)
Quiver (5%)
Shield (w/e you can obtain)
1Handed Weapon (up to 25%
Talisman (up to 10%)

Total = 95%
Cap = 45%
(40% or more to shift around depending on shield)
---

DI
Talisman (up to 20%)
1Handed Weapon (up to 70%)
Shield (up to 30%)

Total = 120%
Cap = 100%
(20% to shift around)
---

LMC
Armor: Neck, Arms, Hands, Chest, Legs (up to 10% + 3% bonus per) (65%)
Shield (up to 10%)
Talisman (6%)

Total = 81%
Cap = 55% (with 5pc studded)
(26% to shift around)

As a reminder Stone Form poses a -10% ssi as well as a DI (unknown #) penalty. Rising Colossus, Healing Stone, Spell Trigger, & Mass Sleep are a huge bonus for many occasions, so don't forget to use them for survival & conjured pet tanking. This is the build I used for Soloing Slasher of Veils

Here's is another build I've done for fun

V

[[Weaver Melee]]

120 weaving
120 fenc/mace/sword
120 parry
120 tact
90 anat (120 with mark & jewels)
80 heal (120 with mark, jewels, & enhanced bandaging)
70 chiv

720 points

I won't list all of the essentials, so just read from the first build listing & get an idea. Since you won't have stone form benefits, you have to rely on using your 6th circle Attunement cool down for when it counts. Also can enter protection with a scroll if your human and avoid interruption for gift of renewal casting (if using protection adjust the physical resist to compensate from the buff penalty). Damage Eater mods may be helpful on your armor for rolling heals while bleeding, or poisoned. Additionally you can take your gear to to 4/6 chivalry casting for extra support. This is the build I used for soloing Stygian Dragon.

Dang, that was really detailed and sounds super interesting. hmm.. did you somehow manage to squeeze on lrc on the mystic build?

Made a choice after spending a considerable expense on kits, and decided to carry reagents. The structure I built for 2 slots: stam 10, dex 5, mana 10, hpr 3-4, mr 3-4, lmc 8, & the last 3 slots hp inc 7 instead of mana inc which I had to do random reforge endlessly. The suit Resist incorporates vamp embrace, corpse skin proof, and protection spell settling in at 85 100 70 75 70 for swapping on any other melee build desired. Takes time to muster the motivation for suit building projects, but I do need to eventually assemble a melee lrc suit as to not worry about my reagent count all the time. Thinking ahead I will most likely sacrifice dex 5 on 4 slots & try to swap in 25% lrc.
