I understand....
Have you sell them a BOD for the 100m you bought from them? Bam, you got your money. Buy items, trade items, buyer sells items, has the money (similar to the way its done in EQ I believe). There is always ways around everything, it all comes down to the scales, to the pro's outweigh the con's.I wonder what the gold sellers will do, if gold points get account bound and not transferable to other players anymore
like i said either take on board the ''cut in stone data'' that i gave........ or totally dismiss it...your choice!!!...u dismissed it..many others liked it ...again it was ''your choice''.....i will be updating the info on a monthly basis....Maybe you should collect some incredibly flawed data from illegal 3rd party sites to create new ridiculous posts?
Ohh wait, you have already tried that
I use the said site on a daily basis, but I don't come on stratics and start posting Illegal data from them. The data held on these sites has no place on stratics and I will continue to ask Petra to either lock the threads or delete them. Stratics is not the place to be posting Illegal 3rd party data. You may find you get a better response on the HOT boards or the UCH boards for that kind of datalike i said either take on board the ''cut in stone data'' that i gave........ or totally dismiss it...your choice!!!...u dismissed it..many others liked it ...again it was ''your choice''.....i will be updating the info on a monthly basis....
and as for illegal sites....is it really illegal to look at it ??? im reckoning 95% of folks get there Price Checks form there....everyone i know in game does.....sooooooooo wtf.!!!...grow up will ya.
[waits for the trollers to state they have '' never ever, ever, ever, even thought about looking at such an illecit site'' .....come on dont let me down......lol]
Cant be a great post if it was deleted. Muahhahahaaguess the trollers get another great post moved....wel merged this time....was a good post standig on its own....at least its not locked ...still trollers win again
hehehheeee...u didnt let me down...''raises a jug''Cant be a great post if it was deleted. Muahhahahaa
Indeed raise a Jug, as I sit here Supping on some of the best Homebrew I have made so farhehehheeee...u didnt let me down...''raises a jug''
Yeah, no...like i say more than 95% of people....... view .....view this illecit ....naughty ...illegal.... god awefull site....[whatever]
Just to clarify, this site is not "illegal" Origin and then EA, EA/Mythic dropped the ball when they failed to prosecute for copyright infringement among other things they could have sued for. Same goes for the free-shards that exist, most are no longer "illegal". This is due to the fact EA knew about them and failed to act soon enough.this illecit ....naughty ...illegal.... god awefull site....[whatever]
They could pay someone what they pay an EM, hell I'd do it part timeUO makes that third party site popular all by itself through grinds. Want 10 of some resource to imbue with? Do you pay $10, or spend thirty hours farming it yourself?
They should just put all resources in the UOstore and sell them there. EA would likely make a fortune as people paid a few dollars for resources and spent the grind hours having fun instead of grinding.
Huh? How have times changed as pertaining to amount of time available to play? Did I miss a nationwide curfew on MMORPG playing time or something?Tanivar I am not sure who is to blame for this one but it has always come down to time on game working to get an item or gold vs going to a off site to buy it.
EA has rather dropped the ball, I agree with you both.
Times have changed that many players don't have that 4 to 5 hours to run the game per sitting due to Real Life.
As it should be it gets top attention.
Most don't even have 2 hours a day to put into the game anymore, its hard to squeeze out time for ones self much less a game.
Instead of offering gold for sale and ringing in profets by the handful EA let the opportunity slip to others.
I have seen many sites come and go over the years. Some do no harm in one respect... They show EA where they are goofing up.
My 7 year old niece when I give her a choice roller blades/bike or computer. she picks roller blades/bike.Goldberg I have a vast number of friends in UO and many other mmorg's and we do talk of the Real world.
Most notably is the number of hours they have free these days.
Some have growing children now. I met them when they were school age kids in UO as the shard mom and kept in touch over the years. You must admit a young parent has very little free time.
Some again have found with the work issue of time.
Many offices have cracked down on the work computer used for personal time.
Those who joined the game on their lunch hour can no longer do so as the HR's of most company's now will fire you if you do so. (they even restrict personal phones too)
You must admit time has become a factor over the last 20 years in most things people do...
Unless its winter time most kids want to be outside... this means parent's in tow, sports do have the a big influence on game time.
As it should be encouraged. We don't want our children becoming hermits at the computer.
I have even noticed my game time has sharply curtailed over the 16 years I have played UO.
I use to play 12 to 16 hours a day (yes I know that was excessive but I was dealing with things that I needed escape from and UO was that escape) These days if I spend 2 or 4 hours in game I am lucky.
My son and his wife have me doing tons that I didn't need to do when I was alone... (I am use to self clean up they on other hand are typical lazybones who leave the kitchen a mess after a sandwich).
If you get my drift.
Then you have those who are spread too thin in every direction... one friend has a honey do list that rivals the roll call for the us army!
I and he think his wife is trying to rid him of his game play.
She hates computers and has said so.
He is not alone, in fact over the years many of my friends have been cut out of UO and other games by a spouse not wanting them in it.
My friend Ti was bargained out of her game time... her father is very religious and made her an offer that if she gave up her game time he would help pay for her new house. I guess the computer to him is the devils handy work... go figure..
Then we have the people who have been severly effected by the job market.
They have had to change hours, jobs and even loss of income and have had to take what's out there to manage living.
One friend has had 5 jobs in 2 years each has closed their doors shortly after he was hired as the economy hit them hard.
The job he has now limits his free time to a fraction of what it was before.
Liz and Beth are in the same boat, they have different hours and with their family's changing needs of their time the game is getting less and less of their attention.
I expect soon both will quit as they don't have the time to devote to it.
Now you tell me you don't know how I know what the time players have for the game.................
I have been in UO for oh say 16 years, with homes and friends on every shard I have been on ... have many friends in all country's and games I play.
There is one thing I do notice is how we talk of what's keeping them from play.
Goldberg wake up and read a newspaper on your computer... or listen to the news on tv.
The world has evolved and I guess you missed the memo.
proablly a trade window buy a rune for ex amount gold lol, look i also sell tin foil hats in uo for 10 gold per lolIf there are no more checks and you need to transfer gold between characters on two of your own accounts and the transfer needs to happen on a shard where you don't have a house or your house is not public (and you have no interest in making it public just to set up a vendor), how will you transfer gold between those two characters? Or say you want to give gold to a guildmate on another shard and neither of you have a house there. What will you do?
How is duping items worth millions going to change vs a check for a million? I'm not following, so the items worth millions can still be duped, however the gold would be on your character instead of checks so that wouldn't be able to be duped.Michelle give her a hug, she feeds dragons. Way to go! Yes times have changed... we have changed..
Now as for the gold removal..
I have said enough on it and I stand by it...
I don't want to go to a number for an account with the gold.
I see the down side and its a very slippery slope.
Not as much gold is being duped as you all might think, but high gold value items are.
Come on put your heads into this!
You got a good handful of items worth 150 mill or better each.. are you going to dupe them or a measly mill check??
Use your brains...
And for those of you sitting on that much gold that it is hampering your play, find a new player or 2 spend a few on them. Buy a few things at the fair.. if your waiting for it to rain in UO you got a long wait....
Makes absolutely no sense at all. The world has evolved since you started playing UO? What planet are you on?Goldberg I have a vast number of friends in UO and many other mmorg's and we do talk of the Real world.

Your 75% get 100% of their information off general chat from the 25% Fine forget dropping the last digit from all gold counts. Replace every 10 GP with 1 PP (Phatonium Piece). Now your 150 million GP item is now worth 15 million PP and hell lot easier to exchange funds. Same math. Can bring out the apples and oranges for some delightful story math.Yeah, no...
My stastics say that 75% of the player base do not use it.
If such platinum coins stack, that would be dupers heaven...1 Platinum coin equaling a million gold makes much more sense.
New checks don't necessarily mean duping. I might have a big item on my vendor, or keep gold on there for months and then finally cash out.Its much more easer to track a new item then an old one..
I am quite sure the Dev could come up with a way to recode the Platinum coins and make them more traceable..
And don't you think the dev are smart enough to watch the sellers and books dropped for unusual offerings of said coins?
Or here is a secondary idea that the Platinum can only be made and stacked in ones bank and must remain in bank. All trades would take a bank transfer with a cursor option to target the one you wish to pay.
same developers that let us place rtb houses on non paying accounts for many years each year it came upIts much more easer to track a new item then an old one..

Where is the logic behind that? Both old and new items are just an entry in a database. If you add special logic for one record, you add this logic for all records in the same table. Its much more easer to track a new item then an old one..
What's the point of introducing a new item, when the old one could be made traceable too?I am quite sure the Dev could come up with a way to recode the Platinum coins and make them more traceable..
How is a book related with such a coin? There is just text in a book. No reference to an item...And don't you think the dev are smart enough to watch the sellers and books dropped for unusual offerings of said coins?
Now stacking is cool. So if you have 3 coins with individual information, it all would vanish, when you put them together on a stack. That is called money laundering.Or here is a secondary idea that the Platinum can only be made and stacked in ones bank and must remain in bank.
