*SPOILER* Coronation Gift - how to receive it - answers needed pls!

I just went to GL to check LBT's Castle - and trying to find out how to get his replica Throne.
At the entrance to the Castle there is this - whats this? Nothing happens on clicking:



So my question is:
- Will you have to attend at the Coronation Event on your shard to be able to get the gift
- Will you only get one per char?
- IF you cant make it, there will be no other possibility to get it (the next day for example?)

Please explain so i can at least setup my 4 accounts to get that Deed's for my guildmates who cant make it tonight (IF there is an Event on Pacific anyway since it hasn't ben announced yet here!)

It is just like every other clicky at an event. You can click it once per character.

Sorry Sir, I didn't try, so that I don't know, but since it is the EM hide-away, I am going to assume no. But could be wrong.

You can't cast any spells at all in Blackthorn's castle. So I assume you can't mark at the collection point.

I am just collecting everything together so everyone might have a chance to get the gift or several of them, especially if he wants to make sure, he can get extra ones for his friends who are not able to attend that event..whats so bad about this? Not everybody has a chance to attend to that event and if i can help them i am happy i was able to...

If you feel unhappy because i "spoil" possibilites to get more than one gift i am sorry i revealed a possible "secret"...

I am afraid, if you missed the coronation on your shard, you missed the gift too - so all you can do is try to catch someone nice player to give you one or you will have to buy it..

That's why i made this post - to make sure more people knwo about it and prepare to attend - it seems to be a fun event with no fighting, alot of talking and possibly alot of lag

And at the end there will be a gate to a location you find a statue you click and receive a gift..

Believe me, Devil isn't letting anything out of the bag. The people who collect EM items on all the shards are probably more aware of the event than many of the people who live on a shard. We don't even have an announcement about the coronation on Sonoma so I am grateful for these posts! At least now I know to keep an eye out for it.

Its shard specific.

For the 15th anniv the EMs setup NPCs for pretty much every major shard/UO villain + at the castle every good guy, which when talked to told about themselves ect. The snake statue was just to tell people where it was lol

Well they need to get the cost in for transfering them from GL or Origin to Atlantic...
And it must be now or never - figuring as the event giveout starts, there will be hundrets of the deeds by tomorrow on the shard..

So there was a gate, which I did not see and did not know about. Followed the returning masses stream and of course (not at least disoriented by that screenshot on the beginning of that thread assuming there would be something on the bridge), got nothing.
Other players also missed that gate on Europe, and again others did somehow not get the deed.
So you can also transfer excitement into frustration.

But you DONT have to rely on fansites. EVERY shard that has done the event thus far, has had it on their official EM sites or on the town criers in game.

I know emotion (sarcasm in particular) is hard to get in text at times (I could be failing here miserably), but I didn't take Woodsman's post the same way you seem to have Promathia. What I got out of it was that all the dates and times should be listed on their main website, regardless of any fan sites. When participating in any high quality entertainment the "entertainers" itinerary should be represented on their main viewing site.

Just my opinion, but it really couldn't hurt to have some more details on UO.com. Half the reason I'm even posting recently is because the developers have been more vocal with us. It just seems like a similar situation where some good could be done.

I look at it as Mythic gutting the community relations teams for UO, WAR, and DAOC, and leaving us with piss-poor websites.

If you are right, then that means World of Warcraft, Star Wars: The Old Republic, RIFT, Guild Wars 2, are not willing to promote their fansites because hey, they have major events listed right there on their websites. Those companies must have idiots in their community relations teams.

Im sorry, what other MMO holds events like UO does? Most other MMO's are generic holiday events, or other global events. They dont have server specific events that help shape your servers history.

The official Japanese UO website covers EM/shard-specific events. UO.com used to cover EM/shard-specific events.

But Blackthorn is being crowned on every shard, so it's game-wide and not shard-specific. Now if Dupre was being crowned on some shards, Blackthorn on others, and nobody on still others, then we could say this was a shard-specific event.

Do you want me to show you screenshots from the Japanese website, or from the old UO.com where they highlighted in-game events like this?

I hopped on Lake Austin and Atlantic to pick up the thrones, and the gates were quick on both, and in different locations. Lake Austin had it in front of the bridge (mainland) while Atlantic had the gate in the throneroom.

Somebody said there were a bunch of Atlantic players waiting on the mainland, who didn't realize the gate was in the throneroom

The Japanese UO website team is constantly highlighting events on their website. The old UO community teams constantly highlighted events on UO.com, as well as player establishments and events.

It's a part of selling a game to potential players and helping build up the community and taking those inactive players and turning them into active players.

On chessy the town criers are still announcing the event from 9/26 lol. And when you say news it talks about a scene of the crime event being postponed. Ours needs to be updated lol

I am not surprised considering the state of Chessys EM's. But it IS announced in their monthly schedule they release.

A big splash about a new king being crowned would be a definite draw for new players or old players wondering if it's worth returning!Not everyone knows about or visits fan sites, they need to get their fingers out and have their own forums, t's about time they did AND where is myuo? It has had "Temporarily unavailable" forever now!
