I agree the gate was a little bit...hmmm...not long enough open...i think it was only around 20 mins...
I missed Europa because i thought 9 pm gmt - forgot to read its 8 pm uk time arggll..so i was there like 30 mins after the coronation and missed the gate for maybe 4 seconds! i even saw it as i came the stairs up but i was lagging to hard heeh...so i can only blame myselfe rofl..
I surely wont miss Pacific's Coronation - and if i have to drink a gallon coffe and 25 red bull to not fall asleep (different timezone for me hehe)

Can anyone who attended the Coronation on their shard explain where the Coronation was held at (which room of the Palace) ?

That is, where in Lord Blackthorn's Palace the GATE will be opened by the Event Moderator to then access the place where the gift throne will be received ?

It opened at the ENTRANCE on GL and on Europa it was INSIDE at the throne hall...
Dont know about the other shards...
Your best bet is to attend and after around 15 mins the gate game beginns...

So there was a gate, which I did not see and did not know about. Followed the returning masses stream and of course (not at least disoriented by that screenshot on the beginning of that thread assuming there would be something on the bridge), got nothing.
Other players also missed that gate on Europe, and again others did somehow not get the deed.
So you can also transfer excitement into frustration.

I was there as the Queen of Hearts. Crashed twice due (I expect) to the huge number of people there. When I logged back in, I got a "Magic Storm" window telling me the area was too populated and unstable, and I would be transported out. The second time, as I ran back up to the castle, I apparently missed the short window of opportunity for the gate.

Which is why limiting the vendor machine rewards like that is nothing short of stupid.

Is this additional events to compensate for poorly run ones on these shards? If so, then why is Europa missing? It was certainly a cluster when it came to the gate and all. No matter, I guess. It's just pixels. I have pretty much given up on Europa's EMs doing much that works. The last posting on their forum is mid-september, so apparently THEY didn't think it was very important to update this.

Uhmmmm, for Siege, the time of the Event is indicated as 3pm EDT. Is that a mistake or is it a different time than EST ? What time zone is it then ?

heh, EDT is Eastern Daylight Time

So yes, if you are eastcoast, then it is indeed 3pm.
