If you could add more playable races to UO, what would they be?

Add more to the Underworld and Abyss.... Expand the Abyss another level.

The Abyss is actually a nine-leveled variant on the mythology of Dante's Hell. Just compare our version to the Seventh Level (Violence): The entrance guarded by Minotaurs. Surrounded by a river of blood and fire. Populated by creatures of Greco-Roman mythology. (Medusa?) The Avatar uses a Bell, Book and Candle to open the Underworld, which is a rite in Catholic exorcism and used to open the Gates of Hell in a number of other fictional universes.

It's a theme that could be expanded on.

That's wonderful ...so long as those races are tailored to our setting.

There are some people - RPers amongst them - who think UO is some variant on D&D. But a dozen one-dimentional races are a poor substitute for variety and human stereotypes.

There are some of us who realize that UO is a sandbox and you can do whatever you want and ..... "Gasp" you don't even have to follow the limits of what they give you... and you can RP whatever you like.

There is nothing wrong with RPing stuff as some variation of D&D.... but maybe you are just an RP Elitist.
