What I miss with the new format is the change in color we used to get when a thread was read. After jumping around a few threads now, I can't tell where I have been. Is there a way to mark a thread as read during each visit?
Oh my, EZ... you said "cookies".... And all the time I could'nt have guess'd it from your pic....It usually only does that if you're not logged in or perhaps you aren't accepting cookies from the new address?

Thanks for the replies. I should have realized that my spam, tracking, and virus paranoia prevents me from enjoying content across the web.
All major browsers can selectively allow cookies, it just takes a small bit of work from the user to set up, and there are also free proxy servers (such as FoxyProxy) and anonymizers if you want anonymity.Someone else might be more helpfull on this but I seem to recall that some browsers allow a selective acceptance of cookies. That is, one can specify to only accept cookies from a specific web site which they trust and not any other. This way, one can maintain a high security level when navigating the internet but still take advantage of handy features for those web sites which they trust by allowing cookies for those specified web sites only. I am not sure how this is set, though......
