Actually, they'd make the sweetest ride since the llama.the new sheep look great.
easier to mount too
UO Players have never been known to be the most normal and predictable of creatures KingHenAmazing that one of the "hot" threads is about sheep...
Indeed. Hence me fitting in here!UO Players have never been known to be the most normal and predictable of creatures KingHen

By fixed, do you mean the old graphics will be back?
Also bring back the old daemon graphic and the old lich sounds, while you're at it ;P.
Yup. As I mentioned, the animations for Legacy were never meant to be changed, that was an error on my part.By fixed, do you mean the old graphics will be back?

Off topic, but in High School (I went to a Catholic school) we had this young priest who was pretty cool. He put together a special feast catered at a local restaurant. This was a special deal and as close to realistic to the time of Jesus as possible. Other than the mutton and bread and wine, I don't remember what all we had. But none of us liked any of it. We just weren't used to it. And the wine was as bitter as it gets. The food was very forgettable, but the event itself very memorable....
Ya know... I don't think I've ever had mutton. A lamb chop or two at a cocktail party on show business trips (which were pretty good to be honest), but never actual mutton.
Well I play ONLY 2D and I think the weirdo new sheep are still cute.Yup. As I mentioned, the animations for Legacy were never meant to be changed, that was an error on my part.

I wouldn't call these bright sheep ugly, but I do agree 10000% that they have absolutely no place in the classic client. They are completely mismatched in every possible way and stick out like a very sore thumb. The worst part is the completely different lighting which is much brighter than our lovely murky and Ultima themed world lighting. Secondly they are sheep. Just generic normal sheep, where as the old sheep have the endearing Ultima character in them. Thirdly, the perspective is too much from the side, and weird at that. They almost look like they're going to topple over. Just compare to the dog that looks securely footed on four feet. Fourthly, they are missing the dark stroked edge. And I know I know, the edge was never intentional and only a side product of rendering the original 3d art, but it's still an important part of why legacy UO characters look nice the way they do. And besides, didn't U8 actually have intentional stroked borders? I checked and it did it did! That's the stuff I love! That for me is Ultima. Not this generic blob of glaring white fluff.
2D ... like we have no serious problems with UO ...
The old sheep were cute .. now they are huge and ugly ..
Ok I should have clearly read through the whole thread before HAVING MY SHEEP HEART ATTACK! Haha *facepalm* Thank goodness... I'm so relieved. I was actually stressed out for a moment there. Someone needs to lock this thread .Yup. As I mentioned, the animations for Legacy were never meant to be changed, that was an error on my part.

*blinks* Lies and rumors I say!Well I'm glad you didn't!
Since there was a call for some sweet sheep lovin',
Pretty cool. But what would it look like 10x larger, and polished? Hahahaha Boura-sheep! 15th anny ethy...Since there was a call for some sweet sheep lovin', I decided to take up the challenge, just to show how endearing our original classic sheep is.
Awww how cute are those! A couple of years ago I went to Wales for my summer holidays and one of the most memorable things was how lush and green the grass was, and how cute all the sheep were, round little balls of fluff. Everywhere you looked, it was green velvet specked with round white balls. I'll never forget it.I really think EAM should hire Seph
The first thing I thought when I saw the new sheep was "they look like they need a good feed" If any of mine looked that lanky, I'd have the RSPCA round lol.
This is an old pic of my sheep gathered in a pen. I'd love to see these in the farms at Yew...
/signedi vote for Saphireena as the new UO-Lead-Artist.
That's ok - I've done that a few times myself.Ok I should have clearly read through the whole thread before HAVING MY SHEEP HEART ATTACK! Haha *facepalm* Thank goodness... I'm so relieved. I was actually stressed out for a moment there. Someone needs to lock this thread .
Ok, I think we can talk artwork and style without bringing soul stabbing into the conversation.Yeah it's just a sheep, but that endearing little creature -represents- our beloved classic artwork. Take one itsy bitsy sheep away, and you've just stabbed the soul and essence of the original Ultima style.
The only animations in the legacy client that I'd love to replace are the hideous polygonal creatures like the Hydra, the Kraken, those kinds of things that are obviously below where I think they should be. But that will ever happen, so nobody has to worry about that.So Grimm, no sneaky slipping of EC graphics in until we're all fooled?
TheGrimmOmen only stabs souls in private. Mind your own business!Ok, I think we can talk artwork and style without bringing soul stabbing into the conversation.
