Here's my list so far:

Pet Sending Ball - Similar to Pet Summoning Ball except it sends your pet back to the stable.

Customizable Castles and Keeps - Why doesn't this exist? What's the reasoning behind it? Lag? Sheesh....multiple small houses clustered together lag more than a customized castle. For those that have boulders or trees in the courtyard; they would not be customizable. Problem solved.

Alter Fleeing From Battle - If someone wants to leave a fight then let them. This isn't the same as criminal status. Edit the rule so that if a player is more than a screen away, they are not considered to be fleeing from battle anymore.

Allow the removal of properties via imbuing - How would this work? You simply would need the ingredients that would be needed to imbue that property in the first place. Plus, maybe some extra item that can be acquired somewhere. Keep in mind that the cap for that items imbuing weight would still exist, meaning nothing OVERPOWERED is going to arise from this event.

Allow the ability to alter mods on items with more than 5 properties - Believe it or not, there are items out there that have decent mods with some random mod that is disliked or not needed. Some of these items actually have more than 5 mods sometimes (level 6 chests, ect). It would be nice to be able to imbue these items even when they have more than 5 mods as long as it is within the cap.

Allow any item (except maybe blessed) to be imbued - Why not? If the item is already above the imbuing cap than this rule doesn't matter anyhow. If you allow the rules above this to be implemented, then you still can't go above the 450 cap for non-exceptional or 500 cap for exceptional. I only see this change allowing more reason to farm/obtain unpopular items and make them popular. And I kind of laugh at the idea of not being able to imbue blessed items, considering it would then guarantee that the item is going to break eventually, so why not allow those to be imbued too?

Allow current items that cannot be imbued/created to be altered - What does this mean? You know those robes called Conjurer's Garb or that apron called Tangle? Ever wanted to change it to something more appealing or different? Why not allow players to change them to something that takes the same slot as that item? Yeah, yeah, of course you wouldn't be allowed to change a Conjurer's Garb into a cloak but maybe a dress or hooded shroud? Keep in mind it would HAVE to be an item that already takes that same slot on the paper doll and it would keep the same exact name except gain an "altered" tag.

I'm sure I will be able to add to this list, but for now I will let people examine and evaluate. I do not take original credit for some of these ideas but I believe we need a thread that is devoted to something like this so that the Devs have an idea of what the player base is craving.

Also, I have an idea to add to the list that I believe will completely fix factions. So be free to critique away if you see something irky.

Simply just place a hard cap of 200 points for any single player. Then bring in a tiered list of ways to obtain them. The double and triple points for cities is gone which is what caused this issue to begin with. Then make it to where you lose a set amount each week. Here ya go:

Hard cap: 200 points

*20 bonus points for capturing a city

*15 bonus points for capturing someone who has stolen a sigil or has been passed a sigil (pking them while they have the sigil)

*10 bonus points for pking an enemy faction in a base or town (this adds to the usual points that you'd gain and the faction enemy must have a minimal rank of 3 and can only be gained off of once a week to prevent farming of points)

*5 bonus points for stealing a sigil and keeping it from returning to the enemy base for more than 30 minutes (gives a reason to steal sigils even if a large force is guarding towns and bases, sigil returns back to the base after those 30 minutes)

Faction trap gets the 10 bonus rule because they should be used as a tactical advantage and not an easy way to rack bonus points.

Players would be subject to losing 20 points a week as part of being in a faction. To equip the level 10 artifacts, you need 180 points and the point system updates immediately. No more waiting a day or until server down to wear your ornament or inquis.

Also, maybe tweak some of the perks to owning a city. Maybe make faction mounts insta-bond upon feeding and only last for a week. Also, maybe bring back faction craftable gear that gets that factions color and is temporary blessed (2 weeks?) without any rank restriction. This gear can only be crafted in a a faction owned town. And if you really want to fire stuff up, maybe allow a bonus mod for each town. So if you craft the item in Jhelom as a faction item, it gets +10 fire resist as a mod for those 2 weeks, ect.

That way there is a LEGIT reason to owning a town on a regular basis and keeping it under faction rule.

The lowering of a property already works like how you described. You can change say hit chance 15 to hit chance 10 and then imbue another higher.

Even if the item is above the imbuing cap? Are you sure? I said imbuing cap not property cap.

Castles and keeps are not customizable because of their non-rectangular bases. The courtyards and openings can have otherwise blocking items within them (like trees) that are part of the hard-coded map which would be difficult to impossible to work around.

You can lower a property via imbuing, but not remove it. Lowering a mod intensity will open up points on the 450/500 scale, but it will not open up a place for a new mod if you are at the 5 mod limit. (Note that the Shame update will have an item that completely removes Damage Increase)

PvM changes I would like to see

1) New peerless/bosses with a combination of special abilities to make em more challenging.

2) (this isn't much more of a change, considering a Revamp of the other dungeons are on their way) Please, make something unique about Each dungeon so Shame & others don't lose their "Flavor" when the next dungeon(s) get a revamp. Like the Whetstone, as an example.
^ with that said - Great @#$!ing job on shame ^

3) Enable a Paragon feature on Every facet. (something different as a special reward on Each facet, so there is something "Unique" about each area).

4) Treasures of Tokuno - was a pretty good event, and should happen more often. hopefully some change in the Major artifacts available from the turn-in

5) DOOM - Guantlet, Buff up the Bosses in there a great deal, But increase the drop-rate of artifacts.
All these artifacts Really need a revamp, it's rare to see Anyone use most of them except, a very select few (Orny, AoF, Midnight Bracers, Shadow Dancer Leggings,IRs and Maybe the HoM.) make the Original ones, into faction artie equivilents Or maybe a turn-in for these too? (5 ornys for an upgraded Orny).
Doom was actually fun as hell when it first came out, it died down because there is no longer a demand for most of these items, And you can spend Hours upon Hours and not get Anything from it.

6) I would like to see more done with the "Loyalty System", Grinding isn't always good, but it's nice to have it in game regardless.

Pvp

7) Base Weapon Damage re-balancing, This would effect both pvm & pvp.
^^ This is mainly for 2 handed weapons Ranged & Melee ^^
I think ranged weapons hit extremely hard compared to most 2handed
melee weapons, and they shouldn't, Most ranged weapons should get a slight nerfed (mostly throwing weapons) although, If this actually happens, it would be appreciated to add a wider variety of weapons to choose from (3) isn't enough.

Just the thought of being able to shoot a mob/person from a distance, and not suffer from the mobs/persons physical attack (except Other ranged attackers) should be enough to re-balance base damage for atleast 2h melee weapons.

Another thing, some people might bring up is the Lumberjack bonus you get to Axe weapons - This Bonus is not significant it's also a proc chance and does not solve the issue, that 2h Macing & Fencing weapons are not used anywhere near as much as they used to be.

Or maybe they should re-do the proc chance specs as they were pre-aos
these procs did Not work for ANY 1 handed weapons and there were no
"Cooldowns" on these as i recall. a cooldown should definently be
considered if this is done.

2 handed swords/axe weapons 25%/anatomy chance to Half your targets
max int for 5 seconds?
2 handed Maces - 25%/anatomy chance to cause "Crushing blow" (50% damage increase) and should stack with the current (Crushing Blow) spec.

2 handed Fencing weapons - 25%/anatomy chance to Stun, the target for
2 seconds or until hit.

as for UBWS weapons, it should carry over,

Character with Fencing, using a UBWS Swords weapon, should only have
the ability to stun the target as a proc chance. this might also make UBW
a desired property again

(most people choose their weapon, based on the weapon spec's it has for pvm)

(Weapons are mostly chosen for pvp are basicly these specs. AI, MS, Disarm, Nerve strike, Dismount & the ability to use Pots)

I stand corrected on the lowering of properties. However, I believe what threw me off was the ability to lower the mods or even change a mod on an item with more than 5 mods which would be nice assuming it stays within the imbuing cap. The Shame items not being able to be imbued was also something I was disappointed with.

As far as the castles and keeps go; what isn't rectangular about their base? I iterated specifically in my original post about the courtyards.

Looks quite rectangular to me. (opposite sides equal, right-angles)

Eh, I like peerlesses and all but maybe they should cruise the route of monsters that have more intelligent AI or deal lots of damage via spells, moves, hits but don't take 3 hours to kill. Hence, lower the HP but keep them challenging. Furthermore, I believe it would be best if they made it to where these creatures just randomly spawn in any location of Sosaria. Perhaps keeping specific monsters to certain climates/topography but they can spawn anywhere in the area at any time.

Okay, could of used a little more input and detail but we're getting somewhere.

Look at number 1.

Look at number 1. The random creatures could have special items of some sort similar to ToT.

5) DOOM - Guantlet, Buff up the Bosses in there a great deal, But increase the drop-rate of artifacts.

Eh, they are what they are. Maybe adding an extension of the gauntlet and maybe the ability to have these same artifacts spawn with an extra mod or different set of mods would be good. Along with the ability to imbue them.

6) I would like to see more done with the "Loyalty System", Grinding isn't always good, but it's nice to have it in game regardless.
Hrmmm, it would be helpful if you gave a solution to the problem. The system is meant to take some time and for those who get impatient or just like to get stuff out of the way quickly, then of course this is going to be annoying.

Castles/Keeps: The issue you're forgetting are the courtyards. They are not part of the structure, and as such and have otherwise blocking items in that space (trees, rocks, etc). Trying to modify that would be problematic to the system since those blocking items are statically part of the map itself and cannot be changed. You could make everything like that dynamic, but if you remember when this was done with Magincia, the amount of lag it would create for the world as a whole would be IMMENSE.

But it's not quite that simple either to make that determination on the courtyards. Thus if you want a castle, you get the stock model, if you want customization, you get 18x18 max space to customize.

This has been covered several times in the past. The system used for house customization simply won't work with plots that are not a single continuous rectangular plane. Breaks in that plane such as the courtyards and the L shaped houses won't work in the created system.

As of now, it's an opportunity cost of owning a castle.

Wouldn't the system simply convert the castle into a 36x36 rectangular pad like all classic house designs do and if something is blocking the placement then it will pop up with a message? I don't see how this is so complicated. Please infer.

I hope you don't mind. I would like to add my wish list. :)
1. Dungeon rogue themed booster – put improved and or unique loot in dungeon chests, new puzzles scattered throughout the lands, add mystery quest lines and scavenger hunts throughout the lands, add a perk for detect hidden/remove trap/lockpicking, etc.
2. Botany themed booster – give us a slew of new plants, herbs, fruits, vegetables to grow and harvest, give some of them buffs (I want a four leaf clover that we can consume for luck ), allow us to make potted plants, etc.
3. Introduce floor housing tiles that can be used similarly to carpet tiles. I would really like this since I don't own any customizable houses. Ideally they would be the same as the custom house tile sets - wood, stone, dirt, grass and water. It would be cool if wooden tiles were obtained through lumberjacking, stone tiles through mining, dirt through digging for sand, grass from vorpal bunnies or possibly a new resource on plants and water from fishing. Maybe specialized tiles could be purchased from npcs or part of spring cleanning. I don't know if this is possible, but wallpaper would be cool too!
4. Expand the clothing vet reward box idea. I would love to swap all of my robes for dresses!
5. It would be terrific if colored plants could be made to look like this: http://vboards.stratics.com/1179014-post5.html
6. Fishing requests - reduce fish weight, don't make us apply bait after EVERY cast , remove the book rewards and introduce cool fishing poles as a reward. Let us see the details of the fish monger quest before we accept it. The fabled fishing net needs to spawn the leviathan only. Please introduce a separate net to spawn Scalis or whatever it’s called.
7. Allow fish pies to stack.
8. Revert the virtue changes.
9. Introduce a fey slayer instrument.

Yeah, it may have been better if the colors were of the ore color system perhaps? Or what color scheme were you looking towards? More dull colors?

I gather you're saying a hard cap of "gathered" points.

How about everyone at each level has a "point pool" that is set each day (or week.) When the player gets killed, they lose points from the pool as bounty to the killer. Once their pool is empty, no one can gain points from them and they can gain no points from others. They can sacrifice points to other team-mates in order to keep them in a battle (or if they don't have time to play that week).

At the end of the reset period, the top 10 point gainers that still have points in their person pool (and have had kills) get a bonus on top of their points, plus some small reward -- maybe a +10 SDI/+10 HCI sash that lasts for one week.

Just some ideas

Personally, I think they need to add:

More monster "groups" for spawning. We're still under the very very old groups (group of four deer, shepherd and four sheep, etc.) We need some more tailored groups, plus some random ones that would make overland and underland traveling more interesting.

Instead of paragons (every facet should have interesting differences) I'd like them to extend the Renown concept like they've been doing. However I'd like there to be some in-fighting in the monster camps. If two renowns are within a screen of each other, they should not appreciate it and actively try to deal with their rivals. There should also be two or three levels of renowns, with the top level something like a chieftain that spawns larger groups of monsters to help it when threatened.

I just want a broader spectrum of colors. There is no yellow, no green, no orange, no blackish grey, no off white. I would like to have more of a choice, and especially around holiday times, that is when I want to change colors the most.
