Yes we read the general Chesapeake Shard forum, discussion of EM related issues, must however, take place here.
This is not the first time someone from the SHE guild has stepped forth regarding the scheduling of events on Saturday night. Our response remains the same as it did when it was first brought up. Whenever Dross and I have the availability to hold events, we are going to hold them.
As has been stated numerous times, this is a part time gig for both of us (although sometimes it feels full time!). Due to the dynamic nature of our schedules it necessary for us to hold events at our availability. It was mentioned on the other thread that we should be scheduling events at the pleasure of the players schedules, and not our own. We take this into account when scheduling events. Saturday night is a prime time for people to play. Maybe they don't get a chance to participate in EM events on a normal basis? Maybe they can only play on the weekends? Regardless of the reason, it is sometimes necessary for us to schedule events on a Saturday.
Since September (when we began publishing month long event schedules) we have held the following events on Saturday night:
Sept 25 - PvP Fel event @ 11pm
Oct 2 - PvP Fel Event @ 11pm
Nov 13 - PvP HS Fel Event @ 9pm
Nov 27 - Castle Seige event
Feb 19 - Detective event
March 19 - Global VB event
March 26 - Nemesis Stone intro
April 16 - Fel Nemesis Event
April 30 - Fel Paws Excavation
As is indicated by the schedule, the issue is hardly an epidemic. We told the SHE guild that we'd work with them in scheduling, and I feel we've done a fairly decent job trying to keep Saturday night open. The fact still remains that sometimes it is necessary, in order for us to get done all the events that get done (particularly anything related to a global ARC like VB), to host some events on a Saturday night.
It was suggested on the other thread that we are in some way attempting to torpedo the SHE auction or otherwise disrupt its operation. This is of course completely untrue and we wish the SHE guild and its auction continued success.
Further discussion of this topic can take place at this evening's Hall of Commons meeting @ 9pm ET.
