[UO Herald] Pub 70 World Wide Release – 04/01

Greetings,

Pub 70 will go live on all shards during the next maintenance. European shards will be the first shard to receive this publish at 12am EDT. You can find the complete publish notes as well as the notes for the Classic Client 7.0.13 and the Enhanced Client 4.0.13 below.



Publish 70.0.0

Magincia Plot Lotto

• There are 22 lots each in both Trammel and Felucca. The island is divided up by North and South end. The North end is the area towards the beach area and these plots are 10K a ticket and you are allowed to buy as many tickets as you like. The South end is towards the bank and these are 2K a ticket and you may only purchase one ticket per account.

Magincia Planting System

• Players are able to plant seeds in grassy areas around Magincia by using a hoe. The players will have to maintain the upkeep of the seeds to keep them healthy. Only the owner of the seed can take care of the plant . The plant will be tagged with the owners name and the date he/she planted it. Players will be able to dig up the plants after they have matured and they will continue to keep the player’s name, the date planted and the date harvested.

Starting Locations

• Players can now pick what part of the world you would like for your character to begin. You will have the option to start in New Haven if you wish. Young players can start where ever they like but the default will still be New Haven.

Abyss Quest and Monsters

• Added a new quest in the Abyss, this quest will start with Xeninfor the Security Advisor and he can be found in the Royal Palace. We have also added a few new mobs to challenge your fighting talents.

Bug Fixes

• Veteran Reward Statues such as the Efreet, Harrower, Therathan Matriarch and the Fire Ant can now be turned off and on.
• The issue with fish that are fished up by a non High Seas entitled account not having resources was fixed.
• You can now fish up the new fish in Shame level 4 with the correct entitlement.
• The issue with the Gargoyle flight no draw tiles in the atlas was fixed.
• You should now be able to obtain the Magic Key for the Puzzle Room.
• Scalis should leave the correct art for the corpse and the correct hues.
• Players having a false reading of having a ship placed should be fixed.
• Ship runes should now function correctly when recalling from the Abyss.
• The MTX ship dyes are no longer account bound.
• The imbuing gump materials list now displays the correct resources.

Enhanced Client

• Cliloc updates
• Art updates

Classic Client

• Moving Mobiles should now show the damage take over head in the classic client
• Players will again be able to see equipped Jin-Baori on both the paperdoll as well as the avatar.

There are bugs they should fix first that ppl have been posting on the Origin board, but I doubt they saw them there and I doubt even more that people put in bug tickets.

Imbuing gump bug... showing relics, essence, residue where it should be showing the gems needed for imbuing.

Fishmonger quest givers not "seeing" your boats even tho your boat is at the dock...

GM cook can make exceptional but can't apply maker's mark

These are just 3 that ppl are listing so far.... would be nice to actually fix them before tomorrow.......

I retested after today's publish notes came out and the crustacean point values have been FIXED!

I got an order for 10 snow crabs which yielded a 10 fairy salmon bait.

I thought I'd read something about changing it so that the splintering weapons no longer lose 10 Max Durability each time the effect goes off, but I don't see that in THESE patch notes? Wasn't it listed in a previous version? Are they not making that change or did they simply not include it in the newest patch notes?

Unfortunately, community manager for DaoC and WAR only it seems, not for Ultima Online. I think the publish notes or any news related to Ultima Online should be posted by someone who is at least familiar with the game. I also think Ultima Online's own unofficial community manager is Mesanna as she's the only person who plays the game and frequently meets with the community .

If they have decided that the unlimited chance slots are to be a gold sink after all, then having them be the 10k plots makes a certain amount of sense.

I had the first two and 10/20 of the last.... i finally get it and now the quest giver cant see my boat???????

Last time this happened the GM had me dump the quest I was on, drydock the boat and redeploy..... prolly gonna have to do the same again =/

I dont even see anyone acknowledging the problem exists, which is crap. There should've been a fix in this pub for it, IMHO. OR they should've fixed it before sending it live to everyone else...................

they're pretty frustrating, I agree...it's the perfect job for a tamer w/ gdrag, they are a pain in the ass to kill on a mage. i'd try sampire but probably worthless to try with all the high damage casters and paras.

all i can say is EVs by committee or a gdrag. but a guy and I killed 15 rousers with no void spawn, so I really don't know. I can confirm the green crystal (corrupted spiritual) does drop, problem is it seems as if the voids come up based on the RNG. very crappy quest if you ask me, should be items straight off rousers' corpses.

Galen thinks it might be like a champion spawn. We saw a Void Manifestation spawn from a Rouser in Europa after about 12 Rousers. Its quite easy to kill them if you can lure it to the Pixie [Renowned].

Confirmed on GL as well. Was a typo, as you stated. (I had been wondering if it was a last-minute change that wasn't on Origin but would be on the production shards.)

The team needs to learn to proofread. Team, you know I'm not one to criticize everything you do but when you do things like this it makes the actual problems in the game seem that much worse than they are.

Happening with Tokuno Boat on ATL. World Wide Release morning [Skara to Pap] & [Jhel to Float Emp] the intended monger to deliver to does not see my boat at respective dock.

Roommate here using Orc boat not having any troubles with da mongers.

Guess I'll drop the 2 quests & forfeit 40 Rock Crabs and re-Mob to my orc ship.

The 'Dock master' does not see my boat either ...

EDIT: Resigning from the quests placed the crabs and fish that were in the crates into hold !!

Immoral crystal transfer units (Corrupted Crystal Portal) when using Malas flew labyrinth, sometimes fixed the problem down for the count.

* Players having a false reading of having a ship placed should be fixed
* Magic Reflection: A Murderer using magic reflect will be flagged criminal if they reflect the paralyze spell back onto a blue character
* Detect hidden will once again detect everyone. Detect hidden will apply out of hide timer to detected players that are freely aggressable.
* Splintering weapons do not lose max durability allowing them to proc infinity without destroying the weapon
* Players will now parry when wielding a throwing weapon and have a shield equipped

· Players who were stuck in a state where they were unable to place a new ship will once again be able to place ships.
· Magincia is no longer part of the Factions system.
· Scalis Eels will now last a maximum of 2 minutes
· Both facings of the kabuto can be dyed with the Metallic dye tub.
· The reward weight of the lobsters and crabs as been adjusted
· You can now have your parrots on your Brit Ship without losing it when you move
· You can now place one tile soul forges on your Brit Ship
· Moongate name was changed from Magincia to New Magincia.
· Cleanings Winds will not heal after removing Mortal Wound any longer.

Enhanced Client
