My partner transferred 110 in a skill onto a soulstone and deleted the original character. He went to flush the skill off with another character and got this message:
"The amount of skill stored in this stone exceeds your individual skill cap for that skill. In order to retrieve the skill points stored in this stone, you must obtain a Power Scroll of the appropriate type and level in order to increase your skill cap. You cannot currently retrieve the skill points stored in this stone."
He has no way to simply flush the skill from the stone, because he only gets the above message and no gump. I just tried to do the same on one of my accounts and hit the problem too. Basically if you wanted to flush any skill over GM from a soulstone, the character that does the flushing has to scroll up to that cap or your soulstone won't work.
Firstly, has anyone found a way to resolve this problem, say with a GM? Seems silly having to buy a scroll when the character doesn't actually want to use the skill
Secondly, I'm hoping this is fixed at some point. I would suggest that the character should always be able to bring the soulstone gump up and have the option to flush the skill. With a clear warning gump, enabling the player to decide if they want to absorb skill up to their own cap or wait until they had eaten the right soulstone. Or just flush it.
