I have never once seen somebody use magic arrow scrolls in 7 years of PvP.keep in mind that magic arrow/magic arrow scroll has been used for years.
Many mages will be happy when they can play a template without mysticism effectively.If you can manage those things in your list of tweaks, many a mage will be happy with the progress of the game.
Everyone thought FEMA was bad...if EA Mythic was in charge people would still be trapped in the Superdome.I think an EA 'Soon' describes best what is planned.

I think the point here is they are trying to balance things so mages still can make a diff in the game...This doesn't seem like rocket science to any level. Just observe and fix.. what the heck's going on? You can put in multiple publishes for some revamp of the most boring thing to do in UO (fishing), but you can't make a few simple adjustments for mysticism?

And BTW have you ever tried actually mastering the timing of them? Actually being able to chain them out back to back without overcasting either. You can do a Nether Bolt, Magic arrow, Nether bolt before the damage has ticked off from the first one, MEANING the damage from that second one Doesn't land. It takes a lot of practice.
What? Not being able to disrupt bandages with a spell....... I still remember the good old days when mages would make absolute sure you were cursed before doing anything.

If you play a straight necro mage you sure as hell can, and there are even hybrid necro templates that don't go full blown necro and ss.Mages do not get to cast necro spells.
Why would you only be a straight mage when you have the extra skill points to use for an assist skill? The point is here that mysticism is an OP assist skill. Everything is based off of being a weapon combat class or a mage class. Not having one or the other for pvp seems a bit pointless, and the character would be more of a burden then anything for a group.Mages do not get to cast necro spells. A mage is not a viable templet now, you need to be a mystic mage, spellweaving mage or a neco mage...just being a mage is useless now.

I mean come on, there are soooo many more issues that have an effect on this game aside from spell plague and mystic. When was the last time you used *create food* on your dexxer? Would you like it if I were able to cast a second ebolt on top of my first with no casting delay? Same thing...only different.
Point is, quit crying and take a good long hard look at the entire system. Don't blame mysticism as the problem...blame the underlying system responsible for equivalent damage being out of whack.
BTW, please answer me this...when was the last time you failed a bandage completely while fighting a mage? If you say within the last few years, you would more than likely be lying.
