Sorry guys, but as offensive as the OP is being, the bug DOES exist. It has NOTHING to do with 3rd party programs, as the only two I use are UO Assist, and UO Cartographer (before that, UOAM) - and I've had it occur with neither of them running.
Granted, it doesn't happen AS MUCH these days, but for a while in the SE/ML era, I was dying 2-10 times a night from it, and it's existed at least going back to the start of AoS, if not earlier.
They never were able to conclusively find out the root cause, and looked for it for the entire time I've played (March 2003). They had huge difficulty in replicating it at EA, simply from the fact it's partially a server/client interaction thing, and the Devs trying to figure out what the complaints were over had single-digit ping to the server in the same building complex as them, and that makes something borking the server/clent interface from the lag time VERY difficult to replicate.
They DID, however, find a few things that made the issue happen much more often, and fixed them. That dropped reports of this issue by about 99%. But, I still have it happen about once every 2-4 weeks, so the underlying issue probably still remains, never discovered.
The OP probably has a connection or hardware problem that magnifies the remaining remnants of that issue, to where they are still getting hit as hard as people were prior to the fixes made roughly around 2006-2008 (can't remember exactly, and most previous discussions of this and the fix attempts were lost in the May 2008 Stratics Serverhost Boner aka "The Big OOPS!")
