Hi, I'm having issues with mana in bigger fights. Went last night to Doom with my guild, and was constantly running out of mana on the DF. Regen was horrid. I don't have any mana regen on my suit (yet) but I do have 42% HML on my weapon, which hits pretty regularly. (3s speed, 30 SSI, 100ish Dex)
So, I'm wondering where I'm going wrong here. My armor is all 70s, 65 DI, 30 SSI, 45 DCI. Included artifacts: Aegis of Grace, Midnight Bracers, Elf Fey Leggings, Stormgrip. Also have a Woodland Chest (Mage Armor, nice resists) and Horned Leather Mempo. Still missing a nice talisman :/
Do I need to fit some Focus or something into my template? Current is:
Necro 80 (100 w/ Bracers)
Swords 120
Bush 100
Tactics 120
Parry 120
Chiv 60
Anatomy 100
Total: 700 (account is only a year old)
First off our resists as mentioned are WAY outta wack, So is your gear in general and even your skills would benefit from some tweaking.
First off When building a Sampire you have to pay attention to Fire Resist, Tons of Monsters focus on Fire Damage, so do many of the Magery Spells they will be bombing you with. My advice?
Lower Tactics to GM, Raise Necro to 100, Ditch the Bracers, and start your new suit with a Rune Beetle Carapace, and Royal Leggings of Embers this will get you off in the right direction in LMC and Fire Resist, then build from there in Gloves, Sleeves, Gorget, and Helm Slot. I prefer Mace and Shields for the Helm slot myself, though Folded Steel Glasses would work as well in the Helm slot. I also made sure my Sampire was an Elf the extra mana bonus is a huge perk. Don't worry about Artifacts making up your suit, they don't make a "Better" suit by tossing as many as you can at it, you'll do much better by using them to compliment good pieces players have crafted. For a Tali I'd look at a Primer on Arms and Damage Removal, good Tali, get 20DI on it. For Jewelry, make friendly with your local imbuer, have him custom make a set. For mine I use 13/13 DCI/HCI, 22 DI on each piece and then shore up resists a bit with the other spots. I use 13/13 and 22 because then Relic Frags are the only "rare" resource I really need to obtain. Still with the DI From the weapon a primer on arms tali and that from Jewelry you'll be pushing Cap DI.
I know this is a odd option, but it's something me and some friends have started doing, We've Dropped Parry! Stoned it off, and replaced it with healing. Guess what in PvM I haven't noticed any difference in how often I'm hit, but I am noticing how much having that 4 healing method is helping (Confidence, Leeches, Healing, Chiv). I'm not saying do this, but it's an option to look at if you have a couple of Soul Stones you can use to experiment with.
Weapons! Not all weapons are created Equal! Even with the same Swing Speed. I'm a macer, and I only use Diamond maces for him, I try and find weapons with at least 40 DI, and HML and HSL around 50% or better. You live off leeching more than anything it's what keeps your health up. But if you take damage your stamina drops, sure you can carry red pots, or use Divine Fury, but I like Hit Stam Leech on a weapon, it's less I have to carry, and less I have to worry about when fighting. Find the weapon with the best Damage Range/Swing Speed ratio you can get with the mods you want. Once again making friends with an Imbuer can help with this.
I'm running full 70's in resists while in Vamp form, with 50 Mana Leech, and high Damage Inc. Have not quite 40 LMC on my suit. I carry some LRC or Arcane gear in my pack if I die to get back in Vamp Form, so I don't worry about LRC on the suit.
