I'm in that boat with ya. Even with the free re-do chances due to the server rollback, nada.LOL i've done it like 20 something times and didnt get crap
I would not consider that junk.
Damage Eaters were introduced with SA. They give you mutant healing against damage of a specific type, but it doesn't just block the damage. So, say you have a damage eater that absorbs 5 fire. You get hit for 5 fire damage, the damage eater will heal those 5 pts back 1 pt at a time for the next few seconds. This assumes you didn't die.
The example isn't literal. I'll leave it to the math wizards out there to figure out how it really works and explain it to you... wouldn't want to steal their fun.

Got the cloak for my archer today and even though I am happy about it for the SSI I wish it was a cloak and took up the cloak slot. It's really a cape and takes up the cape/quiver slot.
Has anyone seen an explanation list of all these new fighting attributes like "Kinetic Eater 5%"?

I did not participate in the quest last week as I was traveling for work. I know I am ineligible to win a housing plot in the abyss (and I am fine with that). But here is my question... can I complete any portion of the quest chain now and have a chance for the new items (talisman and cloak)? If so, where do I start? Thanks!

I read a post that you can still do parts 1 & 3 of the quest and have a chance at the new items. So find Dexter upstairs in Castle British to start the quest.

You can still do stage 1 and 3! So unless the house is awarded you will be in the running the day after you complete the quest for the first time. At least that is the way I understand it!
I think this should work.
Do Part I, Dexter's quest. (Dexter is in Castle Britannia, 2nd floor.) This will get you a lantern.
Then get Part III (Part II is done), from Geoffrey on the 1st floor.
Do it right now; I think this part goes inactive once your shard gets its winner.
Let me know if this works.
