Lower Silver Prices For Faction Items On Siege Perilous

Lower faction silver prices or readd Chaos/Order.....just want some fair fun fights without the need for stealth

Well one thing is for certain. Faction arties are here to stay regardless. Devs are not gonna be doing the work to remove them any time soon. So might awsell lower the prices of silver, which intern lower the price of buybacks.

I still think at minimum the name should be removed from the items, so evil faction gear can go to anyone evil, and hero to anyone hero.

Listen pvmers/crafters have never had a chance against a decent pvper. I run prolly the most efficient pvm killer on the shard. No matter the gear I run, farties or no farties, I will still kill you. It has nothing to do with the gear, it has more to do with overpowered skills. Which I believe to be the biggest siege problem this is for another thread.

Lowering these prices will help out the people that dont have the time to farm silver or havent yet established themselves here. Oh snaps, most of you people saying get rid of them or dont lower the prices have been here for along time and have tons of gold. Lowering the prices allows newer people to the shard to be able to compete alot faster. By keeping the prices so high, only the rich/established players can afford them. This puts a huge gap into the pvp battlefield, the haves are more powerful, while the havenots die alot faster. It doesnt take long for the havenots to get frustrated and leave the shard. This is what is happening to the population. Eliminate them and watch a mass exodus.

Farties have to go, they are hurting the shard to much. I see no reason why faction should be able to buy artifacts from npc's, they should buy their figthing gear from crafters or PvM'ers killing high level spawn for artifects cursed or not.

Their enemies may resell it or unraw it. If crafters get more business, we will see new shops grow up and we will see alot more PvM players killing the spawn to get resources to sell to the crafters.

We all want Siege back to life. Farties do not help, they make other parts of the community quit.

That may be true as PvM'ers do not fight enough to learn all the tricks and many times they had been running in luck suits with mods good for the spawn but not good vs a PK when you need to be able to heal fast, you can't just run of screen to heal up like with monsters.

However, I was able to stay alive longer vs a single PvP'er before we got the farties. I believe I will be again when I get Tina Tinks imbuing skills up but I still find it against the spirit of Siege when Faction players can buy farties instead of running in imbuing items or in some of the artifacts we already have from the spawn.

You do understand that with the recent imbuing skill, about 75% of a persons pvp suit come from crafter's. Depending upon which template, 90% of a persons gear will come from a crafter with imbuing. Before imbuing and faction items the only people that ran your crafted gear were newb ass players wearing full basic leather gear.

Those days are long gone my friend. No one that competitively pvps wears full basic armor. Your whole argument is your not making enough gold now and you want it to go back to the way it was.

Bottom line

Faction items are here to stay. Whether or not YOU want it that way. Gotta move with the times, adapt to the change. Lowering the cost of faction items will only encourage more people to fight and participate in factions. Besides, if your not in factions your wrong anyways. The benefits far out weigh the risk...

i am mostly a pvm guy on siege but i am trying to learn pvp . due to the high cost of silver i find it very hard to suit up knowing i will most likely die .
knowing i must try and try again to get better i do load up and jump in anyway.

however if the faction wear was cheaper id try more often .
people complain that theres noone to kill . i think if we made it easier for the guys like me to participate , there would be more people for the pvp regulars to fight with .

as long as these items exist , pvp newcomers have little choice but to buy them . after all your enemy has them , you wont stand a chance if you dont .

i agree most wholeheartedly . drop the price on faction items please . it certainly would get players like me out there more often .

I'd like the programmers and admins and all of the staff working on ultima online please consider this.

Silver prices shouldn't be raise the rate their at on our server. It's hard enough to farm the silver up on server nevermind pay the rates we do. We do not have insurance on Siege Perilous like the rest of the normal servers. It hurts our PvP population cause people as you all know don't have the time like they use to in UO or the drive to farm up silver or farm up the money to buy.

Something really needs to be changed either turn our silver rates to the normal rate it should be or make it so faction is not named and everyone can use everyone else gear. Pieces get lost, kept, or people try to resell them back but others can't afford the pieces.

Any other comments from Siege player more then welcome to support this thread. I really think it should be considered to help the PvP population grow.

I voted No.... The Faction pvpers are suppose to fight over Silver production
and the result will always be that those with the most Silver gets to buy more
Faction items. Risk and reward requires the results that domination of players
over other players. Dropping the price of Factions increases the leverage of
the available Silver in the hands of those who are doing best in the game on
Siege Perilous. Answer is...dig up more Silver. It keeps the Factions busy this
way.

No need to complain. There is always the option to NOT loot the fallen victim if you want your opponent back in the fight as soon as possible.

What these artifacts has done is forced PVP into factions whether a player wants it or not.

I can see that on production shards this is no big deal cuz even if you don´t join factions, a person engaging in PVP has a good insured suit anyways making him/her able to compete.

But on Siege the scenario is different...
