It feels like when I found out what Trammel was, but this is on Siege...

What he said.It sure as hell used to.
I think the poisonous effect resets if you stack them back with more steaks, cause they get a new ITEM ID, Also another reason might be that they were stacked to begin with.Unless it's GM only.. I've been trying all day in Luna, had no success with over 10 would-be victims, then started eating my own poisoned food with no effect.

Try a Single steak.
Ok one more test. Goto felluca and try it.I did.
Did that too.Ok one more test. Goto felluca and try it.
Might be an issue with malas/new lands etc.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Did that too.
I dunno.. thats pretty lame tho. maybe message sakarrah and explain and pancake about it to her. When was the last time you noticed it working? Some ass on UHall said it was "fixed" that way because people were using it in Trammel.
Poisoning food wasn't my main reason for wanting to train it.. it was just a fun side benefit.
It's the small battles that win the fight. We can all agree on this I hope, even most Tram/Fel players.Seems like a silly battle to chose.
A long long time ago, there was a player with the template:It feels like when I found out what Trammel was, but this is on Siege...

Don't be an idiot and eat the food, problem solved and your logic on the matter has just been shattered. Back on the main topic, poisoned food for all!A long long time ago, there was a player with the template:
Cook, Alchemist, and Poisoner. This mass murderer cooked up
a pile of food entirely poisoned with DP. I seem to remember he
had a bounty of over 1 million gold. When Trammel came into
being...it was found you can not stop the poisoning of food on
the Trammel side. Of course food could always be poison on the Felucca side
and then moved via Trammel stones...<I told you this was a long
long time ago>. Regardless, the poisoner would be given a murder
count if the person eating the food died. And, usually guard whacked.
You could not train poisoning skill without leaving a pile of food some
where... yes, there was not always those trashcans at the bank.
Sometimes thieves would steal food and eat them and suddenly that
blue goes grey and then whack!
It became necessary to stop the poisoning of food, since a piece
of food on the ground is so inviting morsel. No, it is not a bug that
you can not poison food. Live with it.

If you poison food, and leave it laying around, you deserve to go grey. Train poison in your home, or at the bank, and use the trash cans, or barrels.A long long time ago, there was a player with the template:

One of the very first QZ death's on Chesapeake back in the day, as a newbie was eating a tasty morsel of deadly poisoned food ! I was horrified and amused at the same time.
I quickly learned though, to never again, eat any inviting tasty morsel off the ground.
I had a friend on Atlantic who set out a hundred newbie kits and said,Chesapeake had a murderer with like...10k counts who just set out poisoned food/trapped boxes.
Thats a sweet taleI had a friend on Atlantic who set out a hundred newbie kits and said,
"Come and get your free Newbie kits."
Thirty seconds later... the shard crashed... from excessive Guard whacking
of the victums' friends trying to save their friends stuff from the looters.
Oh, by the way...the friend did not get any murder counts or got whacked by
the guards.
The online GM backed up the server... two hours.
My friend spent some jail time...

In terms of the issues I find important to UO, I would agree.Seems like a silly battle to chose.
I hope that lesson is with you to this day.I quickly learned though, to never again, eat any inviting tasty morsel off the ground.
Dont watch me pee!
*backs out of thread*Uh....I watched that video. Wow! Uh....I am speechless.
