Since the gargoyles can now fly, I want a flying carpet for my human/elf!

An Etherreal Reptalon and Hiryu would be nice too!

I thought about the balloon as well - but fitting that into UO's fly= mouted system sounded cumbersome - plus the "Z-Axis" issues...

The Flying Carpet hovers above the ground just like a player on an invisible mount so graphically may not be that difficult to do. I tried to stick to the easier one...

How about a philosopher's stone ?

A special item capable of turning a mining, wood or leather resource into the next one up.

For example, capable of turning iron ingots into dull copper, or dull copper into copper and so forth. Same wih wood and leather.

I think vet rewards should be more for deco and aesthetic purposes and not actual use.

Reason being is that for those who have played 10+ years, many have not kept the SAME account the whole time.

For example, I have played since right when UOR was released, but my oldest account right now is 3 months.

Well, it all depends what purpose the Veteran Rewards need to have from a business point of view.

If they are to be a message to customers that if they hook with the game long enough (and pay their subscriptions i.e. the accounts remain active...) they get this or that cool thing, well, chances are that some customers will actually be tempted to stay with the game long enough (and keep being subscribed) to earn those Veteran Rewards.

This said, one needs to wonder whether or not yet another ethereal rideable would make the trick to have customers stay with the game to ride it.....

Some maybe yes, but I'd imagine for quite a few yet another ethereal rideable would not much be a reason good enough to keep paying the subscription until that time comes....

So, it all depends what is the purpose of Veteran Rewards.

To me, they could be a very good way to keep customers keep paying their subscriptions but of course, it all depends how tempting and good they might be.

By the way, the more players pay for their subscriptions the better it is for everyone since more revenues mean more resources and so possibilities to add new content to the game.

So, it is a good thing, not a bad thing.

The only problem i see with flying carpet is they will need to make new sitting graphics to make it look less awkward. Ethy kirins (with real unique color) and ethy hiryus would be piece of cake.

I think many vets would want blaze colored cu ethy, or make some new unique colors for wthy colors. Neon leather dye would be cool since we will be getting staining which covers many neon colors already. Etheral colored + phy robes and cloaks. Ethy colored.hooded shroud these are so unbalancing, nothing more than eye candies.

Id also say metal dye tubs.

I am slightly against giving them extra skill cap and stat cap. Character enhancement should be made for lower year accounts too like the +5 stat cap.

Item blessed deed (prodo shards only) so a vet gets something valuable to sell.

I would like a CLOTH dye tub that dyes shadow/charcoal for dyeable old (exceptional) cloth items and old made by and sewn by clothing and dyeable AOS clothing and any new clothing such as dyeable shrouds and cloaks because a lot of people wear shadow/charcoal outfits and there seems to always be one new or old cloth item that doesn't match.

A special label maker for crafters that allows them to label their wares with something other than 'crafted by' which is too generic and boring.

I'd like to see "Crafted by" replaced with various other labels such as:

"Sewn Especially For You by _________", or,

"Made with Love by _________", or,

"From the Workbench of __________", etc.

Should have charges and be rechargeable by something craftable or lootable or both.

I can't say for certain, but I think you might be able to do this (or at least get close) with staining in SA. I know there is a nice dark shadow color and an ice yellow.

This both scares and intrigues me.... personally I think I'd rather see some type of "dye tub" with a handful of options for each pet (The thought of a screen full of glacial and fire greater dragons doesn't thrill me

Just say no to flying carpets.

(I am however good with floating castles, neon leather dye tubs, ridable ethy dragons w/breath weapon, and sea turdles)

Oh...and for poops...an ankh of ultimate satisfaction. (one use per game day/effects do not stack)

I think they could do a flying carpet though the graphics for it would be difficult... they could use the same pose as the Effret statue.... that's sitting with the legs crossed... that would be neat....

Another idea would be a potted cotton plant..... working much like the rose of trinsic..... only giving you X amount of Cotton per day.

I like the idea - but that is kind of like the commodity box... way too useful to be limited to only 11 or 12 year players...

True but typically when they do make some new vet rewards they make something new for about everyone.

- I still have hope for:

an ethereal ~'Coin of Mondain -graphic' mount that allows you to 'hover' (whilst 'standing' in-place), that enables one to move at mounted speed...

To me it is a classic, in all terms, for superpowers ~elder/extreme veterans~ to be able to seemingly seemlessy move about.

(I have requested this for as long as Stratics has been. All it entails is a +1 on the Z axis and a coin of Mondain under our feet with the mounted speed bene. It would be so great (& maybe that's why it hasn't come into fruition, yet?))

Once per day any player with access to the box can open it and receive a completely random, newly generated item. ANY non-unique item. If people think that could just be abused like crazy for some reason, then make it once a week. But of course people would whine about duping or clothespins or something.

The 12th year character who wears this gains the ability (1/UO day or every 2 hours) to cast a "conversion field" on all allies within 10 tiles. This effect lasts 5 minutes and converts all damage done to the amulet-wearer to healing and restorative effects for their allies. Physical damage -> standard healing; Fire damage -> cure; Energy damage -> restores mana; Poison damage -> restores stamina; Cold damage -> removes curses. The wearer's death causes a cure/restore mana/remove curse effect. The resulting effects are scaled according to the amount of damage actually received -- so being hit by 5 fire damage will not cure the same level as being hit for 80 points.

A golden cloak that grants the 11th year wearer +5 energy resist, Undead slayer, Daemon slayer. It is also embroidered with one of ten sayings from the history of Magincia.

year 10, a statuette that gives you a choice of every ethy from prior years (not one time used but can be changed) but it can also be summoned like the polar bear.. including the polar bear..

id say for 11 year a black mare statuette, like the polar bear one, not ethereal and for 12 year a fire steed and so on.

i think ethys are getting old.

year 15 they should come out with a new super statuette that has every other mount, including ethy ones.. you get to choose..

a Moongate? 2 way only works when locked down in our houses so you could put one in each of your homes and travel between them? Maybe even let it link to the real gates, one way of course.

I'd also love to be able to place a banker in my home. Then things like player run casinos would be viable businesses. I realize this may seem a bit game breaking to some. But really whats wrong with letting the players shape the world now? Heck Let ups place proper npcs? build our own towns?

Wheres the sandstone fountain? although that's more of a heritage thing... But still...

Placeable treasure piles? Instead of all these replicas of server births and rares why aren't they just giving us new things that we have never had access to.

I'd like to see a new cloth dye tub - that creates all the "lost" colors -

The true white from the Smithson exploit
The evil mage/nightmare/thrasher tail exploit gray/blacks
The quest item orange
The Europa Gold
The long-lost Ilshenar Green (the original color of the dye tub that is where Granpa Charley is now)
The supposedly rare Zog Green (that isn't all that rare, and only barely green)

etc.

Dye tub would require special dyes, and dye a different number of items based on the color (only clothes, not any form of cloth). Cloth for furniture items could be gotten by dying a bunch of cloth-intensive clothing items and recycling.

i think the rewards system needs to be touched up period.. like its kinda ****y how 6th 7th and 8th year rewards have no new mount. so u have to go 3+ years before u get something new.. thats along damn time for people thats around 5-6th years.
