I had been saying they needed to do what they actually did to low end smith/tailor runics for years... and it worked out better making those runics worth burning.....

I don't do a lot of bods, but I do a lot of heartwood quest... I have lots of oak and ash kits that I just am NOT going to sit down and burn because based upon the intensity levels I know its not possible to get anything of use out of them.

Can we do something about that? Its already been done to smith/tailor runics and their are only 4 different kind of kits for each carp and fletch. Can we get this same system here or atleast something where we acn combine like 5 oak to make 1 ash kit... then 5 ash to make 1 yew... 5 yew to make 1 heartwood...

That way when we get one we can either burn it for sometihng possibly good under the smith/tailor kit system or we can atleast we can be a little excited by getting a oak/ash kit knowing we can combine them to make a kit we want...

The reason the smith/tailor was changed was because the lower end runics were literally useless... its not good for something to be useless in a game so they were changed as they should have been... but being consistent, the other runics should either fall in line or have their own system to make them have some usefulness.

At least allowing 100% intensities or something on them... even 90 would make them at least somewhat useful for imbuing.

Agree 100%. Make them like low-end tailor & smith runics -- fewer mods and lower low-end, but allow them to go up to 100%. Items made with oak runics are literally worthless, and ash-made are very close to it. By comparison, you can make decent (although not high-end of course) armor even with spined kits if you get lucky, and if you get really lucky you can make weapons worth literally millions on even copper runic hammers.

all runics should be 100% max. Just vary number of max and min intensity properties.

/agree

I mean if they served SOME purpose then I would not be arguing, however, the oak and ash kits are useless.... and being as they already have coded the tailor/smithy runic system, this one would not be much different, I doubt it would be a copy/paste deal but just changing the max intensity ranges COULD be a 5 mins fix ....

Wish we could get and answer..

Some of the reasons why I think they do not do it and they did tailor/smith ones is because of the woods having added bonuses compared to leather and ingots.

Yes but when it comes to something that ONLY makes weapons.... you wouldn't want to waste time making weapons that have no chance of being something you would even consider using would you?

Even with imbuing just around the corner... the grade of weapons made by oak and ash kits are so inferior you can get much better stuff off of looting lizardmen... Why would anyone waste their resources using them?

Shoot you can't hardly give the kits away.

Now if we could say.... combine 10 or 15 or 20 of them together and get a heartwood kit then they would be worth holding on to. However with the way they are now they aren't hardly worth the storage space to keep them even.

Simply put, no one is going to consider a weapon or piece of armor with 50% or below intensity on a desired attribute to be usable. Even a rank newbie, after training a character for a couple of days, will have access to far superior items just from drops.
