You can call the police if you'd like. I have been through this before.
You call the police and file a report for theft. The police then have to contact EA, via a detective and a case number. They present this to the EA staff, who then will, by law, conform with whatever the officers investigating request.
Typically all the police will be able to do for you is to obtain the IP address of the person whom has last logged into your account. If they did it from there home, you may possibly have something. If they did it from a campus or a library, you are SOL.
If you do obtain an IP that is useable, your next step is to have the police you are working with contact the police is the area of the IP address. But even then you require a search warrant to seize the other persons PC, just to check to see if they were indeed the ones who borrowed from you. Then if you do get all of those things then you must be able to prove who specifically did it, which on the internet is no easy task. It's a big long messy process, but you do have options....
