Afternoon, folks.
A little over a month ago, a close friend of mine returned to the Baja Shard. She was the sole remaining member of a very important and historical roleplaying guild on our shard, and since no one else from her community had logged in for more than a year and a half, she hoped that she might retrieve the leadership position and breathe new life into the guild. If nothing else, she hoped to add the guild to our shards roleplaying alliance while still being on the roster incase any old members return to the game.
Well, she was kind of stuck. Only being the rank of member, she couldn't add people to the guild to help vote her in. So she contacted a gamemaster, who if I remember correctly said that if no one had been on within the past ninety days, their vote becomes irrelevant and she should be able to become guildmistress with her one vote alone. She tried this, but to no avail. She continued trying to contact the gamemasters after several repeated failures, because if what she was told was true, then her guild was bugged. After several canned messages, she was finally told that if she sends another page she would have her account suspended.
So what should we do? Has anyone else had this problem? I'm almost hoping that one of the developers might see this and be able to offer a solution. I know they have said that gamemasters don't have the power to transfer guild leadership, but I'm hoping that if this is a bug they might be able to do something about this. I would hate to see a historical roleplaying guild just disappear.
Thanks!
