It sure could. I also hope it does if they are making sure things are right. Let them do their work and release it when its ready. It will happen when it happens. I like this current Dev team, and trust em so far.
Here's a question for ya..
Will we receive an email telling us that we were not selected? Or could a Dev at least hop into the forums here and tell us when the emails are done being sent out?
UO is the only thing that I use that particular email account for and I hate checking it 45 times a day as I have been in waiting for something to come through in regards to SA.

God I hope not. UO is the Netscape Navigator of MMOs. Crappy publishes and patches on top of other crappy publishes and patches.
And look what happened to netscape when they didn't fix the holes and bugs in it lol (ie. speedhacking in uo).
That's a pretty good analogy.
It really does make you wonder what's going on over there. Oubviously UO isn't the most successfull MMO anymore, and I'm sure its quite expensive to maintain, but a $1M+/month is still $1M+/month. They've gotta have resources.
How couldnt they make money off this game they dont fix anything wrong with it then keep coming out with things to buy in game for real cash...(tokens,etc.)

Come on, give the Dev team a break.
Like I said before, EA corporate wants dates to keep people interested, well the Dev team gives a tenative date and the Corporate rolls with it as if it is set in concrete.
I bet that the Dev team is the most abused people working at EA. Just look at the abuse that is dished out daily here on stratics, not to mention the bashing that goes on elsewhere, then they get it again from the Corporate side.
During it all they also have to come up with fixes, to repair exploits (both possible and found), try to balance skills out, etc.....
Everyone, in the mean time, expects this all completed within, what they believe, an extremely short period of time.
Imagine going in to work tommorrow and your boss tells you that you now have to do the work of 3 employees / work at least 4-8 extra hours per day / work customer relations / and fix the problem with shoplifting.
Hmm, most of you would tell the boss in no uncertain terms where to put it.
That is pretty much what goes on daily for the Dev team, yet everyone complained about them getting a holiday break!
I am glad that I own my own buisness, god knows I would hate to work for anyone on these boards.

have patience and go easy on the dev's ( did i just say that?) lol, there obviously doing the best they can to get this thing ready, crossing t's and dot'n i's ...let em do what they must and dont make them feel rushed about it because we all know what can happen when things begin to get rushed dont we?

I think people are just really excited. I know I am.
It's like a kid in the candy store. You take them in a store full of candy and they want it right then. If you tell them sorry you have to wait till next week they wouldn't be to happy about it. LOL
I think the dev team is doing a great job. I'm just really impatient sometimes. We have been waiting for this expansion for a long time and to finally have a chance to maybe get into beta is exciting.

I hope that testing the SA client allows us to play on prodo shards.
IMO the only way to really fully test the client is to put it into normal every day situations.

Players will be able to test the SA client on production shards when it goes into open beta. During the closed beta process it will be restricted to the beta shard.
