[UO Herald] Do you have Facebook or Twitter?

[UO News]

Well we do now! We have a Facebook page and a Twitter feed.


Our initial Twitter account will be providing headlines and news items from our UO Herald, later we will be providing twitter feeds for some of our developers and producers. Our Facebook page will aggregate this data as well as make use of the bells and whistles that Facebook offers, such as the event schedule and photo album.


While these pages will generally “mirror” information off of the UO Herald, Twitter and Facebook will give us the opportunity to provide additional information that is more suitable to those audiences and technologies.

I admit that there are valid security and privacy concerns, but wise users can protect themselves by simply being cautious.

I think its great the more lines of communication the better and if you all look at the big picture why would uo open these accounts think real hard people its not to hard to figure out! can we say advertisment for SA if I were going to be releasing a major expansion this is what I would do and better yet its free ! wich to me seems to indicate the release may not be as far off as some think !! just my thoughts but Ill bet my last dollar there is more to it than just giving players more communication options!

It is a sad state for UO and EA, when their player base is making websites with more up to date/informative information, than the developers who actually make the publishes!!

LOL, Sad Part Is that its true the "team" has never put forth a serious effort keep accurate records or us players in the know.

We would not need a FOF or have to browse through 3-4 other sites to get reliable info if they put out the effort.

stratics has always been my source for information.
But if you are talking about the information we recieve directly from UO then i am sorry to disagree.


And as far as whining? No i do not think that i am whining, I merely state a fact. How you take it is strictly up to your own perception.

I fail to see the big deal with UO being on Facebook or Twitter and I'm speaking of those who are negative towards this. For how long has there been complaining that UO needs more exposure, now someone makes an effort and some of you still complain.

Granted I'll be amazed if it makes a difference considering the poor communication and lack of regular updates, but hey, someone is trying.

Your dissatisfaction with amount of information you are getting should not cause you to complain/whine/whatever about this. It can only lead to more information, not less.
