Ok don't laugh, but don't do what I did even tho I thought it was a good idea at the time.
My UO accounts all go to a defunt email account. It wasn't a public one that someone could get registered for or even find anywhere on the net, just a private one that no longer works.
So I went to log in an account and discovered that I needed to update the billing information. I go to UO.com and then sit there and try every password I can think of to get in. Because they have a security measure that after three attempts it will put you on a timer, I was trying different accounts with my mental list of passwords. I figured that I would have used the same password on the website for all the accounts.
I'm really starting to get worried now, I've tried my whole list of passwords that I can think of and none of them are working! So I write them all down and decide to go through them one by one, again, just in case I mistyped. It finally works - for the same password as logging in to the game. That's when I realize that the uo.com password for your billing is the same as your UO account. I use different passwords with different accounts, and probably just tried it with the wrong account on the site.
So whew! I could log in after that. And just to test it to make sure I changed my main account password to something else. And now everytime I log in to UO on my main account I forget that I've changed it and type the wrong one, every time. I'm such a dodo.
