Alright, my account has been active for three years, at various points, since 2002. My main character has always been my tamer. Unfortunately, I find myself getting sick of trying to raise my taming any more (it is currently at 93.8, with a cap of 110). That's right, 93.8 after 3 or more years... and that is with me TRYING to gain in taming regularly.
Anyway, my idea was, in order to better get my taming up to where I want it, without having to wear jewelry: would it be prudent to buy a few soulstone fragments, put my taming on one, create a new character (with the same name, of course) and transfer that taming to him. I would then, before getting ANY other skills, max out my taming. I would think that it would be MUCH faster than attempting it with my current GGS output of .1 every 22 to 36 hours (depending on my skill at the time), since it would put my GGS counters at .1 every 4 to 7 hours. I would then soulstone my other skills the new character, after reaching a real skill of 110 in taming.
So, would it be prudent to do so, given that I have TERRIBLE luck with gaining in taming. I mean, I'll tame ridgebacks/bulls/ki-rin/etc for 3 hours at a time, and literally get ONE gain. If it were just an issue of being patient, I wouldn't be so bothered by it, but it's not like I haven't put in my time over three years trying to get my skill up, hehe.
Honestly, I'm just tired of being a person that is ok with using jewelry to control the high end pets that I like. I would much rather have the real skill to do so.
