Technically, Tokuno does have something going now: The Serado the Awakened spawn, and the unique rewards it grants.
But yeah, that's one area in a pretty large map, much of which is empty much of the time.
Tokuno's used more often, however, at least on LS, than it's given credit for.
I'd definitely be behind some kind of specialized reward for it, though.
I've come to think, however, that it's actually NOT a good idea to reinstate Treasures of Tokuno. Especially with Imbuing coming right around the (distant) corner. Why, for example, ever bother Imbue a breastplate of any kind when you can push hard enough and get the Rune Beetle Carapace, one of the most useful breastplates in UO history? Not that it's perfect for everyone, but it's perfect for a lot. I also kinda like the idea that there's a finite number of these items out there.
So, here's some other possibilities. Some of these mirror proposals other posters in this thread have made. I make no claim to being original.
- New items, useful but not overpowering.
- Major revamp of loot tables in general, that effects Tokuno disproportionately. (So if, say, balrons get bumped up 2 steps, Onis get bumped up 3.) Basically this would restore Tokuno loot to its original standing when SE was released....And would be great to make Tokuno a nice place to farm for stuff to use in Imbuing.
- Single-use, non-turn-in-able, and very rare dyes.
