Potion Immunity: Move to Greater Cure?

Wanted to know what you all think. Especially the poisoners, alchemists, and shepherds.

If they go thru with this immunization thing for Heals. would it make sence to place it on a Greater cures? We have Heals and Cures, the most commonly used potions in pvp and pvm and pvgoats. One of them has a deterrent already: 10 second timer on heals. The other can in some cases cure lethal poison 10/10 times with no timer between drinks. To make it worse cures do this without enhance potions and alchemy skill. And poisoning and alchemy have no say on how hard it is to the poison you make and inflict. Just seems to me a better way to start balanceing would be to and 1 different deterrent on two different potions than to but two nerfs on one potion. Ive feared for a while alchemists will pay for non-skilled abuse of potions.

i always felt you should require different types of cures for different poisons.

Please... until I see the same crap on mage spells they can leave pots alone!!!

why can a mage spam mini heal 25 times in a row with no problem but now I can't drink 2 GH pots ???

Does this make sense??? I have no clue how and why they need to introduce this crap!!

DEVS!! ***NEWS FLASH *** IF YOU HAVE SO MUCH TIME FIX GATES!!!

Old story... one person to make it and one person to make it hard.

Leave UO alone, we are all paying for it, hence we like it!!!

I still haven't GM'd my alchemist, nor been able to figure out how to get UO assist to successfully drink a potion without freezing. By the time I do this, will it be pointless?

1. Leave UO alone, we're all paying for it, we must like it as it is...

Are you serious? That's so incredibly silly I'm not even sure how to respond to it.

2. A mage cannot damage you while he is casting 25 mini heals in a row. You have mortal/concussion/paralyze/bleed to prevent him from doing so, throw in a deadly poison weapon and you're even better off. While you are drinking your 1 or 2 pots and healing yourself (with either faction or regular bandies...) you can still dish out damage... you can also have chiv (at 4/6) on your dexer and heal yourself better than the mage can...

Your argument is quite weak.

In other news, yes, there should be some sort of change/nerf to cure potions. There is no way someone should have to put in the time and skill points to have poisoning on their character and simply have it negated by a few cure pots. It will also add some value to resist (which has diminished in value due to trapped boxes)... because if you can't simply chug a pot every time you get poisoned... you will probably realize that you need another way to keep from be poisoned.

Cure and Heal pots are long over due for a nerf.

But I think the way they're doing it is idiotic. They should simply increase the timer to something like every 5 minutes.

im in with these two. they do need nerfs. I think cures more than heals for now. judging by the patch notes. But I want a good balance so to say. where Alchys arent destroyed because of non skilled pvp abuse, but we can both still enjoy the use of post based on skill in and out of game. Right now the only thing the poisoning skill/spell does it make someone waste a milisecond insta-cureing with a GP.

I always thought that they should of made Cures whether it be petals , casting cure, or the cure potion. So that when you go to cure it lowers the severity.

Example: Get infected with lethal. A Cure potion , Cure Cast, Petal, would take it to deadly.

Normal healing / anatomy would cure it completely with same percent chances or sightly tweaked.

As an Alchemist thief, i dont mind, only ever use one or 2 pots anyway and my alchemy decreases my rate of resistance.

As a bush dexxer i dont mind, i dont usually spam pots anyway. Mainly use evasion, confidence and a pot if desperate so my timer would most of the time be re-set.

As a Nox mage i dont mind, cure pots have always been a Bane! do think its a bit unfair how there is no immunisation for cures though.
