Mage Interuption

Devs I would like a response to this one. Jc pointed this out on the TC1 changes thread but I felt the need to elaborate a little on it. With so many DOT spells and specials out there it is almost impossible to play a mage without using pots/faction aids against anyone who knows basic game mechanics. But then again you can put on protection and not be interupted but you will be poisoned everytime and have your casting slowed down way to much. This makes you completely cure pot reliant and slows your casting to the point of not being able to deal enough damage per second to kill anyone who knows basic pvp. I think it would be a very good idea to take your med or magery or eval skill to determine how much damage you have to take to be interupted IE 120 med= 12 dmg mabey if you where 120 mage eval and med put in some kind of diminishing returns system where you would have to take 15-20 damage to be interupted. Same system with necromancy. And maybe chivalry for those 4/6 chivers even though I think 4/6 chiv is way overpowered as is.

Not sure about your numbers but alot of dexxers would only be able to interupt a mage when they used specials, so basically you would not be interupted very much all. Its a nice try but a little over board. Also would it not make poisoning useless.

All in all if this stuff were to come in, they should just make all spells and weapons do the same damage, 3 hits of anything and your dead. Meaning no tactics to fighting or timing anything.

I interrupt mages * if I can hit there max dci ass * and they still do fine, its skill and they learn the timing of bleed / strangle and yes, cast small spells between it..

learn more instead of complaining, all these stupid fixx's are pointless because pvp has been fine for years in my opinion, noone has been over powered

Wait Sephy, what about when bushido archers could critical for over 100 hps in one shot, what about the 4/6 mages with stacked sdi? What about WOD archers when they basically one shot people? What about parry mages with no dex req?
What about 75 ep chugging pots with no gm alchy? Comp bows doing 50+ damage per AI anyone?

Youre right, besides all those(and more) pvp has been just peachy, noones been overpowered over the years. /end sarcasm

if I could do it, so could you, and I do own 3 mages on my account.

4//6 casting was awesome btw so was 100 crit archers and WoD mages where also awesome... easy to die to one, but if your skilled you could do the same or beat them

nerfs should not happen, they shouldnt be introduced in the game in the first place

Im sorry, but 1 second pvp is not my style.

True. This is where the devs SHOULD listen to the playerbase and test it properly.

They should make a simple change to where DOTs dont affect ANY casting.

There. Simple.

Maybe tie a skill into resisting DOTs like the OP has stated.

I think it's safe to ignoEe Sephy, since he's obviously not a real pvpver/not an idiot.
