Fix passive detect on Siege

I don´t want it to be as it is on prodo shards where creatures reveals you all the time... JOAT is enough.

My 2 cents...

+1 on NOT adding it, if people ask for that what's next? Insurance? I say nay!! Siege needs to stay the way it is. It's really the only fun way to play UO now.

Agree, far to many invisible players on Siege.

Maybe it should not be like on normal shards but I miss exp pots, fire fields and other field spells unhiding them if they are are less than 3 tiles from you.

Also if you jump over them, it should unhide them.
Let them stay invisible as long noone knows they are there.

Or make it so they are seen as a shadow, you can attack if closer than 3 tiles to you.

Revealing players is fairly difficult on SP. This has the annoying consequence of causing everyone to be a stealther.. I'd personally rather have more ways to reveal a stealther, and have it so it's harder to get back into stealth afterwards.

Bull****, siege should be exactly like every other shard the only difference that siege should have is fell ruleset and NO INSURANCE other then those 2 things seige need to be the same as the rest INCLUDING ROT. ROT needs work or taken out it's set WAY TO SLOW

Try running track/detect on a char. You can move so quickly in stealth form now it is near impossible to catch someone who has 100 hide/120 ninja/stealth. You have about an 8% chance. Passive detect is fully necessary. Even if the chance is lowered.

passive detect is not needed. what is needed though, is for people to learn to use track/detect. i don't have a problem with how track/detect works, and you know i run them both.

actually, i do have a problem with JoaT bonus tracking. there is no way it should be able to track stealthers the way it currently does.

I disagree, Siege is fine the way it is. I use hiding and stealth because it's my way of safely traveling as a lone wolf. If you want to find players put points into detecting and tracking. If I can put points into hiding, you can just as easily put points into detecting. If you want passive reveal go to a prodo shard, you want ROT gone, prodos have that too. There's tons of shards that have what you want.

That is a bold statement Ru, wanting people to learn to play the game instead of crying for nerfs?

Learn to play the game vs. cry to devs for a nerf

Speedy came to siege as a trammy and he just wants trammel to follow him to ruin the last good server.

wah wah wah I want to be invincible and be able to kill anyone in game at will, it is so unfair that I have to learn how to play the game wah wah wah!

Mages already get to run around in trammy suits due to the faction items, I think they got enough of a bump to last them a few years.

i just don't see the point of adding it simply because "you" can't catch a stealther. track/detect are the skills you'd want to catch a stealther. passive detect has little to do with it.

Not nearly as funny as the only one crying about is someone who wants to be able to accomplish something without investing anymore skill points. There are quite a few people on Siege that have no problems dealing with stealthers; rather than crying for a nerf, invest the skill points like they have.

Stealthers are ok, but it is Siege, not trammel. Something need to be done. I don't think passive detect is the right fix, but better ways to active detect would be nice.

You're right, this IS Siege and therefore should be HARDER, not easier. I don't mind the field spell but just because you run into me shouldn't matter. Again, you are trying to make an entire template useless just to make things easier on you.

I chose to make a stealth thief on Siege because it's viable there. It's the only shard where all templates are viable. There are multiple shards to play on where everything is easier, let's not make Siege one too.
