I've heard this explained several different ways.

So how does it work.

If you have a shield on a thrower, and have 100 parry, does it negate the hit chance penalty? what about 120 parry?

I tried this on a pvm char with 150 dex 120 parry, and i seemed to miss ALOT. took the shield off and it was fine.

The throwing with a shield equipped hit chance penalty is not a penalty to HCI but the hit chance formula. The penalty with 120 Parry is a 20% reduction. So if one has a 100% chance to hit without a shield using throwing, they will now have a 80% chance to hit with the shield equipped. :next:
