Seriously...some people seem to equate strife, bad manners, etc. with "excitement" in a forum. The reality is that the interaction these people consider "exciting" would most likely get them at the least, a fist planted squarely in their face in the real world, and they good and well know it. What is unacceptable there, is unacceptable here as well. Then they cry about "nazi" moderators. Give me a break. We have law enforcement in society because most of us don't want to live amidst anarchy, even if law enforcement itself needs policing at times, and becomes corrupt. We still need it, and want it.
What makes me want to puke is the fact that this is a forum dedicated to the Siege Perilous shard in a game called Ultima Online, but certain PEOPLE (not players) use this place as an AOL chat room.

Reason for me asking this is, ive read a **** load of threads and more often than not when you write in a thread you say something outright stupid or just plain insulting for no obvious reason, well it might be obvious to you ofcourse.

Yes - very happy. I've spent three years on these forums, and the last few months have been the nastiest I've ever witnessed. I'm not talking epeen battles, and the like - just mean spirited, derogatory, stalking nastiness. Like a new person comes and posts here, and by the 4th post, the personal infighting and garbage has already arrived. I very much appreciate that the trash has been taken out. Yes, Cheapy - I'm happy now.

I rarely watch TV, and when I do, no I don't watch those things. I do sometimes watch the home improvement channel, Food Network, and sometimes Discovery or History. Now and then there will be a show I enjoy, but many times when I have become interested in a series, it changes, including things I do not want to expose myself to, and I stop watching.

Another funny thing...a good percentage of the people tossing insults at me, and who have made it a habit of telling me I don't belong on Siege, have requested my assistance in game, and out of it at some point or another. I have rarely refused to give such assistance where I am able, and not because I am such a naive idiot that I didn't know the same people asking for help, were deriding me elsewhere as well, sometimes at the same time! I was taught that if you are only nice to people who are nice to you, then you haven't really achieved anything above what is ordinary. As for self righteousness, *shrugs* I'm not perfect by a long shot, and don't recall ever claiming to be, but I do strive for the extraordinary.
