(Player Event) Britain - Ghosts of WBB Past - Sunday, June 8th 7:00 - 7:45 EST

Hello All,

I would like to invite you to join in an election day event I am calling the: Ghosts of West Brit Bank past.

Event Time: Sunday, June 8th: 7:00 - *7:45 PM EST [*Photo will be taken at 7:45] at the West Brit Bank.
*Sorry for the short notice - election was here before I knew it.

Event Reward: This event takes place just before start of Casino Night in Barter Town. Gambling Fund kits will be dispersed with random checks. The kits will contain 5 random checks in the appropriate amounts to use at the casino (of course you may keep them if you are not a gambler). Yes, a few will even have a one million gold check amongst them.
I will be gating from WBB to my vendor house, which will contain a Steward. Using the keyword in my character profile will allow you to claim your gambling kit.
* Currently limited to the first 40 participants to talk to the Steward. Must have Stygian Abyss Expansion.


*Disclaimer: This event has not been officially endorsed by Barter Town. However, I do believe the cities should support each other and this is my way of reaching out to the citizens there with the timing of the events.

Event Details:
Here below is a favorite picture of mine from West Brit Bank of years ago. The goal is to try to re-capture this moment in present day UO-Siege.

I invite you to choose one or more of the characters in the picture, try to dress similar to them and stand in the spot they are in. It would be of even greater help, for those who own multiple accounts, to start up multiple clients and come as several characters as you can simply stand in the spot for the photo(s). You can try to let us know ahead of time which you are coming as by posting a description of the character/location or using an image editor to circle the participant and then post the photo in this thread - to try to prevent too many coming as a similar person. Of course our ultimate goal would be to exceed the number of people here, so please feel free to come anyway you feel appropriate , if you are more comfortable that way. I think it will be kind of fun to try to replicate and exceed this photo.

Ways to Have more Fun:
- Post something interesting in your character profile, even a simple quote you like or funny phrase is nice.
- Spam (considerately, if possible) something interesting for sale or list things for sale in your profile
- Gate to your shop, while advertising it.

Be sure to claim your casino gambling kit. Each box contains 5 checks with amounts of 10k, 100k and 1 million. [So the lowest you can get in total is: 50k, just for coming to WBB].

I'm not sure I understand this event, the past is gone. What should fill Brit bank is chars we have now, dresses as they are now and being them self. The idea of getting Siege together at Brit bank is great but let the pic be Siege 2014, not a copy of the past. Just my opinion

There is a reason for that. 1. We are not Trammies and 2. We don't bank sit. Please stop trying to Trammelize our shard! You are doing nothing but attempting to buy votes. Have some integrity!

- you should relax, it is just an event idea. It may be popular or may not be, but Brit bank was popular far before Trammel. Anyone who has played back then will remember those days.

I am sure we will see busloads of trammel players voting in the election with bought votes, and not from me. I am simply hosting this event to show I would try to make a difference. If it wins me votes, great. If I don't win, it really doesn't bother me. I am just having fun with the election itself as nothing was done in Britain for quite some time. I think being a governor takes a lot of work and I will just have more free time to do other things.

With only one other helper and a brit bank user, here is an initial capture of a preliminary test. Imagine what a few more players could do...

A lot of "veterans" on this shard are negative nancies (Freja and Kat) who hate to see other people have fun and make progress with the shard. We have to forge on ahead and expect nothing from those types, in fact, they will even go out of their way to interrupt your positive contributions and try to ruin beautiful things.

First of all, there is a huge difference between drama and stating an opinion. I guess you're not too interested in hearing an opinion that is anything other than you're own or one that isn't in agreement with your Trammie mindset, but that's about par for the course. We understand that's how you roll.

Nope that is a different event. It could have had someone wither everyone to death as well, but it not the same.

Freja there is a red player there called Flame in your guild, did you know her very well as I came to siege from Europa with a person called Flame, only pic could find was this one of us doing a champ spawn in 2004:

She was the only person I played UO with back then and I left in 2004 because she started playing something else, was wondering if this is the same person, she did have a red for a bit but not a real one.

The turnout was unbelievable and I hope it was every bit as nostalgic for me as it was for you. A very heart-felt thank-you to everyone who came for the photo (and those who would have come if they were able), so much more appreciated than a forum post could ever say.

Here is a quick snapshot - if you are cut off from it, don't worry, I have others from other areas and am going to try to piece them together as soon as I can and will provide an updated copy.
