Gatherer/Crafter is what makes this game fun isn't it.

With Vendor Search the location just has to be near a landmark of some kind and easy to get to these days.

Yeah it sure is nice making your own supplies... Gatherer is one of my favorite templates...I love doing ore elementals....especially paragons

I play mages as a rule and steer clear of paragons, having to back off 15 screens to have time for a spell to prep before the paragon catches me gets to many monsters after me. I do hunt ore ele outside of Ilsh though, at least on prodo. Gargoyle Pickaxes are not common on Siege. I have fun with them when I can get them though.

I use an elemental mage bow on Chessie.

I gave up melee characters when Act of Stupidity got dumped on us. (how I think of AoS)
