hey guys heres my best idoc loot. i ended up with 1 marble table section, 16 blue pouches, 5 red jointing planes, 2 ish maps , hair and beard dye, real bloody water and wash basin, Vase, thin hay, around 100 potted plants and 18 pieces of Sewn by, with 3 pieces of [EXC] hope everyone else had a great haul to! i even got me an x fer token to get it all back home

I got a few "bad" items, but I dumped those in Haven for the new players. Some of the new white-dyed items, junk armor, gargish statues, chest of drawers from a shipwreck, etc. Got a bunch of pottery fragments and untranslated whatevers... going to hang onto those, though.

heck yeah im showing off! i worked my butt off out checking houses on 6 shards, and losing sleep to watch them go idoc.....most people did. there was tons more stuff, better stuff that i didnt get to loot. but im still happy for those who did, it was a great day and if anyone made any kind of effort at all you should have got atleast one item worth bragging about....and this is the thread to do just that.....brag away people! =)


i looted most of it on Asuka, but the box with the vase in it came from Drach.......Congratz to all who got the one item they were after yesterday =)

Best loot = around ten 60000 gold piles, and a couple thousand Heartwood boards.

Worst loot = 'insured' plain no property earrings (and 15 "empty" chests due to decay, d'oh!)

The best I got from one house was 3 boxes of powerscrolls and scroll binders I got the 105s/110s/115s and then went I went for the 120s I had too many items. That same house I got a neon gift box, Master Archaeologist pick, and 4 rubble plants.

Nice thread Tessa. I had to be at work when almost all the houses fell and I was wondering what kind of great stuff people pulled. One of the biggest draws for IDOCS for me has always been the curiosity of what might be in the houses.

Even though it's sad to see all that stuff fall knowing that it's from people who've left

I got many things for sentimental value...Jo Cool who had been on Origin for a long time and ran auctions there for quite some time had left and her auction house fell along with her husbands castle. I scooped up her Jack 0 Lantern and several clothing items made by her and have them proudly displayed on a mannequin in my castle.

my best items, in my mind anyway lol are 2 furs and a light, I think it's one of those Khaldun lights but I'm not sure. And Something that I did a search for but couldn't find info on, I'm guessing it's an event item..Ricardo's Ancient Lamp, I thought that was pretty cool.

I got some doom arties, Staff of Pyro and blade of Insanity. Full Virtue set with cloak, a white holiday bell, some Lady Mel loot, Glacial Hair Dye and an extra corroded hatchet.

Tons of other stuff, vet rewards, statues, halloween and TONS of christmas deco lol, lots of plants! A Valorite Chest recovered from GrimmOmen (Paragon) I just HAD to have that!

A few Whispering Roses and various other things. Practice weapons, Of Exceptional Quality items..over all it was pretty fun.

Looted about 4k lockdowns across 3 shards.

Random stuff:

* About 1.5-2mil turn in points (turned in TONS of extra loot like armor and crap)
* Several Sewn By items on Great Lakes
* Another 1,500 or so bods
* +25 Stat scrolls, 120 scrolls
* 10k of both barb and horned leather

Best Haul:

Great Lakes House that had 60k+ of ALL ingot types. Looted over 60k Val, Verite, Agpite, Gold, Shadow and DC.

This was a HUGE score because my Aggy pile was down to a few k and with the bod changes comming up - this will allow me to parlay my huge bod collection into virtually unlimted runics and powders of fort. Given you can get roughly 5-7 vials of POF per 1k shadow (by doing Shadow 10 ex bods) - thats like 300-420 bottles of powder with just the Shadow ingots alone and I certainly have the bods for it. I now have over 100k Valorite and Verite ingots total. That should be PLENTY for Verite and Val runics once bod changes go in with next pub.

I missed most of the actual drops of the houses due to picking through the resources and such but this is what is most important to me anyways.

Wish I could have been there for the Sonoma drop with the 5 polar bear ridables. Could have used one on Sonoma. Oh well, the problem was most houses dropping at once. I was looting a castle on an overseas shard when the Redeption house dropped on GL. Didn't get anything from that house b/c can only work one PC at a time.

Lake Superior shard, looted about 5 or 6 houses but for every one I arrived after it fell and it has already been started picked through. But I still managed to grab a lot of stuff. I was like a whirlwind just picking up whatever I saw and hauling it to my house with pack animals and dropping on floor and securing. SO I have piles of boxes and stuff waiting to be sorted through.

One memorable thing is leather. I got about 50k leahter, 18k spined, 20k barbed and 27k horned. This house was near my own house so I just wound up leap frogging the stacks to my house instead of trying to do the whole load into pack and gate routine over and over.

Man my wrists are still in pain, carpel tunnel syndrome risk increased + 50% from last night.

One house I was really felt awful looting, it was a house I shopped at for a long time and knew the owner. Really nice decorated house so much time spent on it and I'm with a pack of vultures picking through it. Other than that was very exciting

problem will be trying to determine value of the loot...

Before you start throwing out all the loot you got for turn in points. Perhaps check the rares forums for some info as to what might be rare and worth alot of gold to another player.
For example I collect xmas statues and some are very collectable due to its name, shape and or color. So it's best to be carefull before trashing them .

I got so much stuff i am still sorting, concentrated on

a) old stuff if any kind (all things you cant get anymore form 1997 till now)
b) stuff to turn in for cleanup

My highlight from yesterday was.....everything.

I had memories of the past, back to when i played 1999 to 2004 till i stoped, with the difference i have never had so much idoc locations (i had 4 runebooks full) and it was a almost 24 hours sleepless "event" - which also remebered me of the old days

I am still sorting loot, yesterday i filled up my house i almost couldnt enter it with boxes and took everything left at the idoc spots (all the recources) directly to the cleanup boxes and got 200k points of it up until the stuff at the idocs started to decay (which was to fast imo - should be changed hehe)

As i sort out i found MASSIVE amounts of greeting cards (valentines) and anniversary items which will get me huuuughe amounts of turn in points to get all the bless deeds i would need till this game ends

I got alot of rubble too, but the COOLEST thing i got is the masisve amount of items that turned to DEEDS after houses fell - fountains, ankhs, pentagrams, etc..I thought they will dissapear with the house but didnt everywere.

BUT my biggest highlight, see picture enclosed, did only find one, all the others got deleted or are still hanging around there at the idoc spots hehe

I've been back in the game for almost two months (been playing on and off since '97), and I gotta say, this was the most fun I've had ingame in quite a while! Took a personal day off from work and it was totally worth it. I think I was at a bit of an advantage because I have 4 bonded packies from my recent transfer to Atlantic. Only downside is that I was very disappointed at not being able to place a house--my tool did not start working until about 4 am PST and then would only place and go poof shortly after. Will try again tonight when I get home from work, but I'm betting that by then most spots will be gone.

5 hours of nonstop looting, over 3k+ items (will be sorting for days!), but so far the highlights are:

* a bunch of other things that I am not sure of the price/rarity, will be doing quite a bit of research in coming days to figure out what's rare or what has been common when I haven't been playing.
* a bunch of other stuff that I haven't even begun to sort through!


worst items:
* so many super junky weapons! My own feelings of packrattishness have been validated by seeing how many players keep their homes. Honestly!!

And my personal favorites (a responsible IDOCer is a responsible player!):
* 3 full (used) soulstones, which will be turned in to Andrasta's soulstone garden
* a handful of player-written books, to be turned in to Halister's Grand Britannian Repertory Library
* Also really stoked that I got several partial sets of colored seeds, I'm something of a gardener and I had to leave a lot of my seeds/mothers on Baja due to transfer space limitations.

A question to those who participated in the IDOC madness last night: do you feel that you were at an advantage by knowing where to stand to reach the "upstairs" loot? I got almost all of my statuettes and all the colored lamp posts at one IDOC that was crawling with 7-10 people, but no one was going for them because they apparently didn't know where to stand to grab them. Just curious

I haven't heard anything about my 3 prong lockpicks (Origin @ Pixies IDOC) post in another thread. I randomly stumbled upon the house as well, did not have anything on Origin marked... I'm pretty sure that was server birth back in the day, but I'm not sure anymore.

worst: I think I messed up big time on EU and lost a back pack with a few possible server births, decent arties, and tok neon dyes.

What I'm always surprised about is the absolute CRAP that people store in IDOCs. I mean bags of jewelery that is just awful, junk weapons, horrible armor, bags of 'colored outfits'.

I swear if my house ever goes IDOC people will be floored. If its not high end stuff, I don't keep it. I keep things like a box of 30+ extra etheral mounts. Boxes of high end runic hammers, Boxes of tokens (transfer, name change, gender change, soul frag tokens etc). Boxes of blessed AOS items, boxes of event items like blood tiles etc etc.

Alot of these houses are like 75% complete newby junk. Good thing they fell and got turned in for points.

Just for giggles - here is a corner of one of my 2 primary GL houses. I suggest you camp that corner if my house ever goes IDOC.

My worst IDOC loot ever (I've only been to like 3 IDOCs in my UO life) was not from yesterday but from a Luna IDOC a couple years ago. I snagged a box that weighed 300k+ stones, but couldn't look inside it or move. So I couldn't pick up anything else until everyone cleared away. A friend helped me keep it away from others so we could get it moved to a nearby house and check the contents. I was thinking hundreds of thousands of mining gems maybe or stacks of colored wood or ingots? Turned out to be like 50k of each 8th circle scroll. Couldn't even imagine would I would do with more than maybe 10 of each, lol.

I saw the picks and 5 people elsewhere in the house. I asked you what you were eyeballing, cause I didn't see anything on the table worth nabbing. Then I covered them up with my beetle and camped out.

Umm those three prong lockpicks I believe are not that rare tbh. I believe
I saw some on Vendors at the Sakura rares festival for like 50k to 75k but they were not selling to fast. I could be wrong but I have bought them over the years for around that price off vendors. Sometimes when you post a price
check on the rares forums, you may not get an answer due to it being common. Anyway that's what i believe you have.

That ring with something mushy on it (phrase), is most likely a wedding ring
which are pretty collectible. I believe they were engraved by a conselour
or GM way back when. If memmory serves me they were also blessed, but I would have to check mine again to be sure. Normally they would be a wedding date inscribed on the ring with like a short phrase on it. Anyway hopefully that is what it is.

They used to sell a UO Wedding pack where you got the ring engraved for your ceremony. Not sure that it still available or not. If not - I'd be happy it was no longer in game lol.

Well they were given out also before that was available. I had a in game wedding back around 2001 and they were inscribed for free back then. I think we had a couple of conselours and a GM in attendence along with a large number from our guild plus friends. I think we had around 70 people in our guild at that time. Was alot of fun and good memmories.

I was lucky that a house that I camped fell rather late compared to the others and we where only 3 ppl to loot it. Overall I did rather well Id say... I haunt sorted all yet but so far I have found:

- 50x 1 million check
- 10x Ethereals
- 25x various vet revards
- 10x heritage tokens
- 20x varios dye tubs
- 2 million points of trash
- 10x potted plants
- 10k of each ingot and a lot of other com deeds (60k saltpeter and lots of wood)
- Guild deed
- and still lots of containers to sort thru

So Iam rather happy with the outcome

from the time Legends was born this little house sat behind the tailor shop in North Vesper ... the name on the house was Windemere Wharf and it was owned by Trevi Snow ... in all these years I never met, or even saw, the owner but now and then the construction and deco of the house would change .. the one constant thing was Dyastro stationed at the doorstep

fairly certain that Trevi Snow was, in the very early days, a companion or counselor .. this was the only house that I actively camped and managed to rescue Trevi Snow's rose, which will go to my museum wish I could have taken Dyastro along, too ... also got a statue of Hartham from the second floor balconey and a Stool of Exceptional Quality

it's a sad thing to see them go ... Blackie's tower is gone from Skara fields and his tower near the mountain is gone, also .. you become so accustomed to certain homes that they are guideposts while you travel, so if you hear me hollering that I'm lost, you'll know why .. my landmarks are gone

You've reminded me of a 7x7 house I camped about 3 years ago. It had one box in it. Inside the box was 99000 Vampiric Embrace scrolls. This house was so far out east of Vesper I ended up marking the location, dragging them to the coast a short ways onto a boat and sailing them to Serpent's Hold where the bank is along the waterline. I dropped them right in my bank box. It took me a couple days, but I sold them to vendors and made 12 million.

The ring is one of the original wedding rings made for the GM's to inscribe. Many didnt want any inscription (they were impatient most times) so it was given as was.

I guess placing a keep isn't really loot, but while others were busy on Ice on GL I recalled in to check if it was still up...it wasn't and was lucky my placement tool worked, bumping everyone under the new sign.

Spent hours at Cervantes idoc, getting an idea of who he was..went to GOF Valley to read tribute there after getting the Read Death statue.

Other idocs had double except and double blessed sandals, and a few more soulstone frags.

A day to remember for sure, but not really a day full of highlights.

My best IDOC loot turned out to be resources - ingots, boards, leather, reagents, imbuing ingredients. A lot of this stuff was left behind at some of the IDOCs I attended I guess because they weren't worth as much or the weight made it a pain in the ass to transfer.

While a lot of people were examining every single piece of jewelry or weapon, I hauled a lot of heavy bags off to sort later and was pleasantly surprised.

Too bad I missed the great fall being at work. Of course I am hoping to see some fun things that I have been looking for on vendors or in auctions soon so that works well for me. Good work Tigger glad you got your IDOCs back and glad you did so well.

Thanks Mirt , so sorry you missed it. i spent most of the night on chessy waiting to get time on the red statue idoc on chessy, but at 8am i gave up and got some sleep....when i woke back up at noon there were atleast 40 or 50 people there so i gave up lol it was a real fun time tho.

The ring is one of the original wedding rings made for the GM's to inscribe. Many didnt want any inscription (they were impatient most times) so it was given as was.

im always interested in selling stuff lol, Q me 105811531....i gotta get prices on some of it tho, ive never actually owned one of those vases before...i got tons of heritage tokens and a skill tutor , goodness id have to look...i had so many houses to go to so half of it is unsorted and slung in trunks but just give me a q =)

Well I had a blast with my 5 books of marked idoc's, tons of loot and some pvp action which I rather enjoyed had I been a bit better than feeble

Notable loot was 3 ethy's and 2 statues from one house, at least 3 mil in gold, a couple thousand high end ingots and regs, and lots of bod books with bods in them, that luck ann statue, lots of some small colored trees, I filled up 7 secures with loot that I have yet to look at again.

Worst loot I did get home and tosss was a chest full of rental contracts.

Passed up and left huge stacks of logs of every color and a bag of moonstones I looked at twice not knowing trash value :-(

Had a blast and I think they should turn off decay so we can do this every 6 months or so

best one was a few days ago, placed a tram castle and last night a new magincia house.

All in all not a bad few days
