you know, even though I was caught completely off guard because you came out of stealth while I was about to attack Kage. I didn't run for GZ, I tried to get my barrings, healed up ran back prepared to fight, thats the whole point right a fight? , you were in stealth again, catch me off guard with your bok bok deathstrike. still i don't run for GZ I try and fight(without a dragon). but of course because I'm new and I still panic, I died,

I'm not in a guild, not very new , but I have been at school and now that s its summer break I have more time to play. but not as much as it seems I need to be playing.
I stated befroe about the guilds, there are 3 main alliance guilds,
1 the JSV alliance
2 the TnT alliance
3 the KOC and their alts(no real alliance I can see)
any other guilds are either non existent or not active
now this is just my opinion so get your panties all knotted up...
JSV alliance seem to be all stealth and pets, and no time to talk(unless its smack talk).
the TnT alliance seems OK I was going to try and join with them , but that Goron and GG and a few others on the boards makes me think I would not be a good match with them if that is what they like their member to act like
KOC, you guys talk a lot of smack, but you seem pretty good, I however am not up to your standards so I never entertained the idea of asking to join(that and I don't want your photobucked dumped on my HD)
so there ya have it, no place for me, so I try to get in fights here and there, sometimes I win sometimes I lose, but I try to be respectful.
sometimes I get utterly disrespected, like today, and it sours my whole experience on the shard, as I have nobody to talk to about it, I come to the boards.

If you'll take some advice from a mere crafter?
When pk'd (by anyone, any guild). Don't try to get your stuff back, don't protest. Either wait quietly and visible to see if they'll rez or go find a healer and return, standing away from your corpse till they've finished looking through it.
That way you're far less likely to get rez killed, dry looted and trash talked. I've never been trash talked on Siege yet.
If you've something you really can't afford to lose (like a 1/3) you can ask 'Would you consider leaving me my .........?' Or 'Would you sell me back my .........?'
When I first ventured to Fel, back on Europa I devised for myself some rules that I intended to play by. Someone else named them 'Petra's Lore' and several others vowed that they would also play by them. If you're interested you can read them for yourself.

the more I read about this , the more I want to just give up and find a new game.
its probably my problem because I see this as a game, a game both parties want to play.
when we fight in or near luna its not to defend anything like a champ spawn its just for the thrill of the fight.
so when you dry loot someone effectively taking them out of the game you just created a single player game for yourself, that is the part I don't understand.
Its like playing chess with someone but when you check mate them you take their game pieces and say "want to play again" well without the pieces you wont get much competition.
but maybe I am perceiving it wrong, and the point of the game is to make your opponent want to quit. and thats how you win, last man paying $12.50(or whatever it is)
so far every time I ask a question like this i get the same answer "quit if you don't like it" proving my hypothesis that some people in this game want to be alone in the game.
so without further adieu. I quit, maybe I will be back after I have a vacation, or if EA decides to bump up the loot table, or if the population rises somewhat, or if people start selling loot instead of hoarding it in chests, OR If I can find an ACTIVE guild that will be accepting of my friendly nature and non drylootyness yet still enjoys PVP.

Without evil there would be no good. Part of the challange of playing here is being looted. Live and adapt or move on. If you need help with armor or items, I have plenty. All you need to do is ask.

You really need to join a guild; few people survive long here outside of one. If you are solo, and not a brilliant PvPer either, then you are going to lose your hard-earned equipment much of the time. If you are running with a guild then you do not need high-end stuff to contribute.
You should just bite the bullet and join one of the alliances.

TnT is a good group of people. Goron and Goodguy are also good people despite what people like to say about them.
I have talked to some of the JSV group too and they are ok too. If you want to join one of the alliances, just ask. maybe spend time with a few groups and see who you like and who fits your style.

why dont you use cheaper equipement until you get better. when i started playing, i just bought a ****load of gm suits, throwaway weaps and lower casting jewelry. blessed a 1/3 and used throwaway 1/1s. then i just kept loosing them. over time i had to restock with less and less. im not sure why youd want to start pvping in milsuits.
it seems like you are making it out be that everyone is out to run you off the shard.
there are not many people on siege that i do not like but i loot everyone that i kill or see dead. that is the main reason i play here. there are things left to loot from people. bodies are not empty.
i never really understood why people got mad over dry looting. everyone always brags how there is no insurance here but then they get upset when people loot them? never made sense to me

No offense I thought you was an ok guy before... but you are just plain silly to even come to the boards and complain about this... I am willing to bet if u had actually won the fight u would have looted him right up...
KOC please do not loot anyone who attacks u anymore we now have insurance etc. and siege is going to have a trammel facet in a few weeks because certain people do not like to be looted...

You seem like a good guy and we from Koc respect that fact you try and wear good gear, we also wear good gear, when HaHa or Kage or Shak and many others die and get looted its about 2 mill a pop, so I ask? how will they replenish there gear? leave for two weeks and go farming? there not crafters....there PKS bro thats what we do, and we accpect the same, You did hit the nail on the head though and I do agree with a very valid point, Look at all those people locking good stuff down on there floor only to stand there and pound there chests like its some major conquest to have an arty locked down....
You wanna fight and get a good fight, TnT has fight night on fridays with very solid fighters and theres no looting, good clean fun, theres a place to bring a good suit and not worry about it..be safe and hope you find a happy home where ever it is, wish it would be here, it still is the best shard in uo

all 3 of you are right, I'm sorry I cannot make myself more clear.
It is my perception of things that is the problem, I perceived this a friendly game.
you fight , you win you lose, but you don't want to put your opponet completely out of the game. even for a day.
My perception of the events were that we were have a PVP competition for fun.
I was going to attack Kage, but Nym came out of stealth and attacked me first. I tried my best, I lost, But after being put completely out of the game via a dry looting , I felt slighted, again My perception.
I keep trying to help "you" the person reading this see my perception of the events, to no avail.
to kage: no I would have ressed him up to fight again IF I would have won, but there was little chance of me winning I tried anyway.
another example, TNT after dry looting me from a ganking tried to get me to dual with minimal armor and no casting jewels, after some coaxing I agreed , and promptly got ganked, laughed at and sent on my way.
It just builds up on a guy after a while, trying to find the elusive "fun" in a game. but no matter, it all becomes more clear that I should be studying instead of "relaxing".
don't worry I wont be back with any long winded explanations, even if they were more for my own discovery that for your reading pleasure.

This is exactly what i do after being pked if they want to res me so be it if not no biggie.
I can't imagine TNT dueling you and then laughing at you after the fact unless you were talking smack. When you said TNt ganked you after being offered a duel are you saying they interupted the duel and they all killed you?
Also shak has made a good point you don't need to run around in a mil suit every time and if you do you might need to be in a guild to be able to easily replace it. You sound like a good person for siege but you need to be in a guild or run solo with less expensive stuff.

just to avoid any confusion, yes, they interrupted the duel by shooting me in the face with arrows, effectively turning my hit points down to zero.
then ressed me up and began spouting about wanting blood or something and telling me to "RUN"

I can't imagine TNT dueling you and then laughing at you after the fact unless you were talking smack. When you said TNt ganked you after being offered a duel are you saying they interupted the duel and they all killed you?

just to avoid any confusion, yes, they interrupted the duel by shooting me in the face with arrows, effectively turning my hit points down to zero.
then ressed me up and began spouting about wanting blood or something and telling me to "RUN"

Sometimes the Siege mindset is a long progression of understanding and not taking personally the behavior of others or learning not to care if it is personal.. Those that fall easy into this mindset usually were born with it or they started playing UO from the beginning and accepted it as normal and right...
For later starters, if they hang in there and keep giving it a chance, they usually, bit by bit, join in and agree...

Despite her rep, Krystal is an awesome guildie. She is just pure pk. If you ain't green she wants to kill you.. I don't know about Leroy.... but really, give a guild a try before you quit. whether it be tnt, jsv, koc, or one of the other guilds, friends just make it more fun, and thats what uo is all about.

C'mon can't be that bad, i'm the worst pvper on the shard, only got one kill to my name and it was more of an assist, than anything... I've lost more crap than you can think of -- granted i don't have anything spectacular, all the same though... it's just crap. Things you can kill them for later and get back, or get better crap next time... no big : 1v1 is uncommon, almost all ways can expect someone bein hidden within range right behind you... what kind of temp you runnin anway?
Come on bro, I am out of SC no pen maces to sell ya now. I just got my first kill last night, after getting barraged by explosion FS's from a thief mage who stole my regs. Didn't die though, and his stealth saved him a ton until a well timed explosion potion got him. Woulda gave his stuff back if he didn't have to go, he was really fun to fight, even partied me right before he died and said ok no regs left, you definitely win. *Explosion pot* *death* Him: Definitely did not see that one coming. No one uses those anymore.

Dear Mechanic......................
Let me tell you what it is like to spend HOURS mining up granite in all colors to fill all the orders one has for stone masonry tables and chairs. It takes several granite stones per color to fill all those orders when one has orders for shadow tables, agapite tables, copper tables, valorite and verite tables with WITH chairs to match.
So after HOURS of mining to get all that made up ..for all the orders ya DID have...and your house is right AT the guard zone in downtown Zento...and some lady comes by and exterminates you and takes ALL of it.............. ya feel like quitting cuz ya wore out damn tired and ya promised your customers you would have all their orders filled up by end of the day and on your vendors. Now being that close to the guards with them in your damn front yard ya would think you could actually carry them deeds on you safely for two seconds into your front teleporter and IN...and not be exterminated THAT FAST...just once since ya snuck in your own house several times that full up of stuff no incident.
Then along come Magnolia............ and wins UO and all that granite furniture ya spent hours mining up to make .............and ya tired exhausted brain numb from mining for hours.......and in 2 seconds it is all drylooted from your corpse on your front lawn as a zento guard just looks at you............. ya think to QUIT Siege cuz ya damn tired and you just lost thousands of gp in earnings in a nano second.
DID I QUIT SIEGE ? no...just sold that house to CASTOR so HE could kill Magnolia the NEXT time she is in HIS new front yard. lol And I went off to go mine up MORE tons of granite and filled my orders for customers ...two days later after I got some rl sleep to go brain numb mining again.
Of all the deaths and drylootings I had here only 2 of em ever really bothered me...that one........and one other one...none of the rest even bugged me and I been here 4 yrs. now. And I still sight that one drylooting as the one that frustrated me the most here..cuz it did take hours to mine up all that damn granite and it was GONE in a nanno second. But mag informed me she did love all that masonry furniture and so did allllll of her friends.
Point is I DIDNT QUIT OVER IT !
*ps I still waiting for Mag and friend to PAY me for all that masonry furny lol and I myself do not dryloot anyone..course I can not KILL any one but ima not into pickin thru dead corpses like a buzzard over a dead cow.........ewwwwwwwwwww lol

I remember that wonderful day... And I know how much work that entailed cause I've done it and was in process of doing it to furnish Wyvern's house... WyRm's rl friend since childhood... And then it was like a gift from the Gods, or Queens,... yea.. I don't have to work my booty off doing boring stuff wooohooo... thanks Q... Was not put to waste and much enjoyed...
