You can't receive a gift while you are dead

Everybody, least ways around me (LS), just froze up/died a few minutes ago, Killed the client and came back in,dead, but that was the message I got in the journal. rezzed, no gift.
went home, logged, came back, no gift. Were we supposed to get something?

Strange. Maybe being dead makes the system think that char has not yet claimed the Christmas gift and the fix they put in place included that message too??
