Just give me a war sloop instead. Something thats fast, and a shallow draft. One cannon on port, starboard and bow. Place the hold right in front of the mast. Give the hold a 3,000 stone capasity and I'd be happy. Who's with me on this?

THAT might even get me to actually buy the HS booster. I played the single-player "Pirates Gold" years ago and had a ball with sloops vs galleons.

I don't get on as much as I used to, which means with current ship decay rates, I had to mothball The Wardens of the Abyss Flotilla - 1 Brit ship, 1 Orc ship, 2 Tokuno, 2 Garg. Keeping only one Tokuno fishing sampan for quests active.

I loved playing Sid Meier's "Pirates" for many a year, and like previous Poster, always ran circles around the overgunned but cumbersome galleons with my sloop:)

On my wish list is a smaller, faster fishing boat. Bigger hold like the new ships, but no need for cannons. They just get in my way when I'm trying to scoop up my traps.

Shallow draft? Are there currently waters to shallow for ships to pass over?

Arr, this idea that small things are faster than big things is a landlubber's conception.

At sea, as she moves forward, a boat will pile the waves up at the bow. This causes the stern to drop into the trough of the wave. Once she is going uphill like this, she can't go any faster. Bigger (longer) ships can go faster before the stern drops into this position.

Smaller ships usually accelerate and turn faster, but have a lower top speed.

But yes, a cheaper, 3-gun ship would suit me as well. Maybe it could be player-crafted.
