I keep all the blackrock I can find, stuff never decays. Then Petra will make for free on a 50%/50% bases (you get half and she gets half). I also keep worm steaks cause you need those as well (easy to farm and right inside the deamon temple enterance to the Abyss). Keep in mind that even tho she's GM and has a Tally, that there is still a fail rate. Otherwize its 10K a pop and she's the only cook I know with the recipe. Heard once that there's other people with the recipe, but I have yet to find them, or a vendor that stocks it besides Petra.
I am at the point that if I had the recipe, I'd already invested the 2 mill into the soulstone for Cooking. Petra got the entire market currently covered, and her vendors always empty. I'm sure I could have sold 200 more stews at the same price and already covered the cost of the stone.
Just a point here about the stew and the bane dragon. It requires it every 24 hours. If you take it out of the stables after more than that is has a TERRIBLE spam about not being at full power (its actually at 10% of total power if weak) everytime it is hit or flagged on.
I use the Bane for one reason and its not PvP. 10k a pop for the stew every 24 hours is a killer as well. Bane dragons will start and finish bonding with pet treats FYI.
If its only for bonding use the treats. Otherwize I can see no reason to keep 2 stews on hand. I keep 10 or 20 around so I only have to hit Petra up once a month or so.
how do you get the recipe for the blackrock stew?

If you already have enough Ophidian Loyalty points (5,000), you can get the quest "A Dish Best Served Cold) from Salis the Ophidian Cook inside the Ophidian Lair. He gives the recipe as the reward.
Sadly, you can no longer gain Ophidian Loyalty.

I could probably drop the price a bit, I based it on what someone was charging on a prodo shard - 50k.

What's a fair price on crossbow bolts? I checked the stickied thread and it suggests 8 to 17 gp each. I have two untrained characters in 4H I could use for gathering feathers to get their training going, so I may be able to stock crossbow bolts for a while if that goes well.
