I "want" quite a few things... doesn't mean I'll get them.

Turn in events I think are always fun (see the popularity of ToT), and I would definitely do everything I can to take part of such an event if they do one soon... but as I stated, I don't think we have that same situation we had for the last two "clean up" events. Because of that, I don't think we need one or will get one regardless of a Stratics poll.

I voted yes, but seriously doubt that it will happen.

However, what I really think they should/could do, would be to rework the community contributions to work in most of these items (fishing nets to the fish guy, stealables tot he theif guy, eyc.) and rework the rewards. Changing the rewards every 6 months or so would be a cool idea, and these systems could really use a revamp.

Clean Up Britannia was done as an event for people to get something out of junking thousands of items that would be lost when secure containers and limited storage were added.

Spring Cleaning was done as an event because of the number of event items (ophidian invasion, sewer rat coins, etc) that people had stockpiled and, well, told to hold on to them for a future use that never came. It then expanded to uncommon and rare spawning items that people had built up.

Right now, we don't really have a situation out of the players' control where people would have a TON of items built up with no use, at least not to the levels of CUB and SC.

Maybe a while down the road, sure, but for right now... I have to say... nah.

That, and imbuing just came out what, 6 months ago? You can unravel all your garbage armor.

So people who saved up random odds and ends for whatever reason gets to trade those random odds and ends for usable items, and the people who say no are greedy?

one side of the argument "no gimmie gimmie" events, they're greedy.

Yes, I want an event that gives me good items for collecting thousands of (useless item here). And that's not greedy?

Someone post a definition of Greed here? I'm too busy hording random nick nacks in the hopes spring cleaning comes because otherwise I'd just throw them away and relinquish my pack rat status.

At no point did I say that it was a 'useless waste of Devs time', please don't put words in my mouth. I said it was 'not planned for'. More importantly, the devs said it was not currently planned.
I would be quite happy to take part in such an event, when it fits into the developer's schedule. I do not presume to ask them to provide such an event at the cost of whatever else they already have planned for us, ie not this year.

TBH i`d be just as happy with adding more items to be turned into the library and such.

Perfect solution, Lets update the community collections so people can donate their items whenever they want, not within a month or two time frame.

Lets people do it when they want, And stops the Devs getting pestered like this when people weren't online and moan about missing it.
